Divine Verses 7

What is the ruling pertaining to whosoever dies from among the monotheists while he insists on committing a Major Sin? Allah (SWT) says; And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We to take account. ((Surah Al-Anbiya’;  47) Allah (SWT) says; “And the weighing on that day (Day of Resurrection) will be the true (weighing). So as for those whose scale (of good deeds) will be heavy, they will be the successful (by entering Paradise). And as for those whose scale will be light, they are those who will lose their own selves (by entering Hell) because they denied and rejected Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)}. ((Surah Al-A’raf;  8-9). Allah (SWT) says; “On the Day when every person will be confronted with all the good he has done, and all the evil he has done, he will wish that there were a great distance between him and his evil. And Allah warns you against Himself (His punishment) and Allah is full of kindness to (His) slaves}. ((Surah Ale- Imran;  30). Allah (SWT) says; “(Remember) the Day when every person will come up pleading for himself, and every one will be paid in full for what he did (good or evil, belief or disbelief in the life of this world) and they will not be dealt with unjustly}. (Surah An-Nahl; 111) Allah (SWT) says; “And be afraid of the Day when you shall be brought back to Allah. Then every person shall be paid what he earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly}. (Surah Al-Baqarah; 281) Allah (SWT) says; “That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the eight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it}. (Surah Az-Zalzalah; 6-8).  ‘A’ishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported; Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) says; “He who is taken to account on the Day of Resurrection is in fact put to torment.” I said; “Has Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, not said this; “He will be made subject to an easy reckoning}? Thereupon he said; “(What it implies) is not the actual reckoning, but only the presentation of one’s deeds to Him. He who is thoroughly examined in reckoning is put to torment.” (Bukhari and Muslim) According to the earlier texts pertaining to the Gathering, Affairs of the Last Hour, Balance, Spreading of the Records of deeds, Presentation, Reckoning, the Straight Path, and Intercessions, etc., according to all these we came to know that the people’s ranks are different in connection . to the Hereafter, in correspondence to the differences between them in this present life. However, what the Qur’anic verses, Prophetic Hadiths, and opinions of the earlier pious men and companions of the Prophet (PBUH) all affirmed that the disobedient from among the people of Monotheism are of three ranks; (a) A group whose good deeds outweigh their bad ones, those enter Paradise and never touched by Fire. (b) A group whose good deeds and the bad ones are equal; so their bad deeds did not allow them to enter Paradise, and their good ones did not allow them to enter Hell-fire. Consequently, they are called “Men on A ‘raf’30 whom Allah mentioned to be stopped between Paradise and Hell till Allah wills, then they are made to enter Paradise. Allah (SWT) says; “And between them will be a (barrier) screen and on Al-A’raf will be men (whose good and evil deeds would be equal in scale), who would recognize all (of the Paradise and Hell people) by their marks (the dwellers of Paradise by their white faces and the dwellers of Hell by their black faces), they will call out to the dwellers of Paradise, “Salamun Alaikum” (Peace be on you), and at that time they (men on Al-A’raf) will not yet have entered it (Paradise), but they will hope to enter (it) with certainty. And when their eyes will be turned towards the dwellers of the Fire, they will say; “Our Lord! Place us not with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).” And the men on Al-A’raf will call unto the men whom they would recognize by their marks, saying; “Of what benefit to you were your great numbers (and hoards of wealth), and your arrogance (against Faith)?” Are they those, of whom you swore that Allah would never show them mercy; (Behold! It has been said to them); Enter Paradise, no fear shall be on you, nor shall you grieve}. (Surah Al-A’raf, 46- 49) (c) A group of people who meets Allah while they insist on committing major sins and they are basically from among the people of Monotheism. And, whose good deeds outweigh their bad ones, those would enter Hell in accordance with the seriousness of their sins; some of them would be taken by Fire till their heels, some till their legs, some till their knees, and some of them would be taken by fire except their forehead (the place on which they prostrate themselves in prayer). The last category are those in their right Allah the Almighty will make Muhammad’s Intercession possible, along with the intercession of other Prophets, angels and whom He wills. He would set for them a limit whom they take out from Hell. Then, He would set for them a less-restricted limit of whom they take out from Hell, etc. Till they would take out from Hell whomsoever has in his heart what equals the weight of a Dinar of good, and less and less, till there would be no good at all in his heart. Moreover, none from among the monotheists will be kept for good in Hell, no matter what they have committed! But, those from among them whose faith was greater and sin was lighter, their torment in Hell-fire would be lighter and the period they stay therein less, and vice versa. Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) says; “Whosoever said La Ilah illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), it would benefit him one day, whatsoever he would be afflicted before that (day). ” (Transmitted by Al-Baihaqi and Abu Nu’ aim)

What is the salutation in Islam? The First Greeting Adam was instructed to approach a group of Angels sitting near to him and greet them with the words Assalamu alaikum (May God’s peace be upon you), they answered ‘and also upon you be God’s peace, mercy and blessings’. From that day forward these words became the greeting of those submitted to God. From the moment of Adam’s creation, we his descendents were instructed to spread peace.  Jesus also greeted his followers by saying “Peace be upon you”. In chapter 20;19, the anonymous author of the Gospel according to John wrote the following about Jesus after his supposed crucifixion; “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you. ‘ ” This greeting was according to that of the prophets, as mentioned in the books of the Old Testament. For example, in 1st Samuel 25;6, Prophet David instructed emissaries whom he sent to Nabal; “And thus you shall salute him; ‘Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.’ ” The Qur’aan instructs all who enter homes to give greetings of peace; (Surah an-Noor; 27.) and those entering paradise will be greeted similarly by the angels. (Surah al-A’raf; 46) Whenever Muslims meet each other, they use this greeting. 61. There is no restriction on the blind, nor any restriction on the lame, nor any restriction on the sick, nor on yourselves, if you eat from your houses, or the houses of your fathers, or the houses of your mothers, or the houses of your brothers, or the houses of your sisters, or the houses of your father’s brothers, or the houses of your father’s sisters, or the houses of your mother’s brothers, or the houses of your mother’s sisters, or (from that) whereof you hold keys, or (from the house) of a friend. No sin on you whether you eat together or apart. But when you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah (i.e. say; As-Salamu ‘Alaikum – peace be on you) blessed and good. Thus Allah makes clear the Ayat (these Verses or your religious symbols and signs, etc.) to you that you may understand.  (Surah Al-Nur;  61).

What is the second expression for Quranic chant which is derived from Quran itself? `Tilawah’ is a second expression for Quranic chant which is derived from the Quran itself The imperative singular ‘utlu’ used in ‘Surah’ 29, ‘Ayah’ 45 is derived from the Arabic root verb ‘tala’, meaning’ to give a deliberate, poised and pleasing recitation ‘. This word was used in pre-Islamic Arabia to designate recitation of poetry. Such recitations involved a manner of simple humming or singing called ’tararnum’.

What is the significance of Fingerprints (fingertips) mentioned in the Qur’an→A man came to the prophet, with a dead bones and ask him O Muhammad (PBUH) do you say that Allah (SWT) will bring me back to life after I become like this dead bones. Then Allah (SWT) reply with this verse in the holy Qur’an; “I do swear by the Day of Resurrection.  I do swear by the reproachful soul.  Does man reckon We shall not gather his bones?  Yes indeed; We are able to shape again the tips of his fingers.” (Surah Al-Qiyamah; 1-4) This emphasis on finger print has a very special meaning, this is because every one’s finger print is unique to himself, every person who is alive or who has ever lived in this world, has a set of unique finger prints, Even identical twins having the very same DNA sequence have their own set of fingerprints, that is why the finger prints are accepted as a very important identity exclusive to the owner, The science of fingerprints has been used as a non-erring identity determination method. Nonetheless, what is important is that this feature of fingerprints was only discovered in the late 19“century. Before that, people regarded  fingerprints as ordinary curves without any specific importance or meaning. Physicians conducted wide anatomical studies on a large number of people of different nationalities and ages, and they were confronted with the scientific fact to which they bowed their heads, and in submission they testified that no one is ever able to make similar all finger prints scattering all over the universe not even among two persons.  Finger  prints are formed in the embryo at the fourth month, and remain fixed and distinct all along man’s life. Finger prints are a record of curvatures that arise due to the fusion between the epidermis with the dermis. These curvatures differ from one person to another, and they never match or correspond among all humans. Is it not a wonderful scientific miracle in which the power of Allah (SWT) the Almighty is evident ?  Praise be to Allah (SWT) the Almighty Who says; “53.  We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their ownselves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Qur’an) is the truth. Is it not sufficient in regard to your Lord that He is a Witness over all things? (Surah Fussilat;  53) Here it is noticed that the verse speaks also of the recreation of all finger tips, and not only one.  The word fingertips refer to all hand fingers. So shaping them again after being scattered all over the universe on Resurrection Day is a sign of Allah’s almighty power.  This is but one side of Allah’s ability to resurrect people on Doomsday with their identifiable parts after annihilation. Therefore, it is not surprising that fingertips are one of Allah’s signs that contain the secret of His creation, and certify to the entity of the person without any confusion, thus becoming the most genuine testimony in this world and the Hereafter.  The finger print is also a demonstration of Allah’s greatness of shaping such lines on a very small space no more than few square centimeters..

What is the significance of miraculous event of ascension? Allah sent the prophets as a mercy to the slaves and supported them with miracles to indicate the truthfulness of their message. Of all the prophets, our Prophet, Muhammad, was blessed with the most miracles. Al-Isra ‘and al-Miraj are among the many miracles of Prophet Muhammad. In the history of Islam two nights are of paramount importance. One is that when the glorious Qur’an was revealed to Muhammad (PBUH), and the other when the Almighty Allah granted transcendental ascension (Me‘raj) to him. In the Qur’an the incidence of Miraj has been described and the miraculous event of ascension (Me’raj) took place wherein Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was transported to different Heavens by what is regarded as the fastest electronic power (Buraq) and was shown what the human eyes had not seen before. A new chapter was unveiled and new vistas were opened for the progress and expansion of Islam as a world movement and a world force. In Surah Al-Asraa, Allah said; 1. Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah), Who took His slave (Muhammad ) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) to the Farthest Mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighbourhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad ) of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. (Surah Al-Asraa’;1)  7. While he [Jibrael (Gabriel)] was in the highest part of the horizon, 8. Then he [Jibrael (Gabriel)] approached and came closer, 9. And was at a distance of two bows’ length or (even) nearer,10. So did (Allah) convey the Inspiration to His slave [Muhammad  through Jibrael (Gabriel)].11. The (Prophet’s) heart lied not (in seeing) what he (Muhammad ) saw.12. Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad ) about what he saw [during the Mi’raj; (Ascent of the Prophet  over the seven heavens)] .13. And indeed he (Muhammad ) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] at a second descent (i.e. another time).14. Near Sidrat-ul-Muntaha [lote-tree of the utmost boundary (beyond which none can pass)],15. Near it is the Paradise of Abode.16. When that covered the lote-tree which did cover it!17. The sight (of Prophet Muhammad ) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond (the) limit (ordained for it).18. Indeed he (Muhammad ) did see, of the Greatest Signs, of his Lord (Allah). (Surah An-Najm; 7-18).There is no doubt that Al-Isra (the night journey) followed by Al-Miraj (the heavenly ascension) was one of the miracles in the life of our Prophet Muhammad (). According to the most accepted view, it happened on the 27th of Rajab, the seventh month of the Hijri calendar, in the tenth year of Muhammad’s prophethood. It is reported in Hadith literature, that the Messenger of Allah was carried from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah to the “Farthest Mosque” (Al-Masjid al-Aqsa) in Jerusalem on a creature called Al-Buraq in the company of the archangel Gabriel (peace be upon him). There he led a congregational prayer of the prophets of God.Then Gabriel took him to the heavens where he met the prophets Adam, John, Jesus, Idris, Aaron and Moses (peace be on them all). In the seventh heaven, he met Abraham (peace be on him).He was then brought to the Divine Presence. This journey is also confirmed in the sahih hadith. As such, there is scholarly consensus (ijma) Prophet Muhammad journeyed in body and soul the night of al-Isra ‘from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid al-Aqsain Jerusalem. Moreover, these scholars indicated the person who denies al-Isra ‘is a blasphemer for belying the explicit text of the Qur’an. During this time, Allah ordered for his nation fifty daily Prayers. But on the Prophet’s return, he was told by Prophet Moses (peace be on him) that his followers could not perform fifty Prayers. Thus, he went back and eventually it was reduced to five daily Prayers. After this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned to Makkah on the same night itself. Therefore, Muslims should be thankful to Allah for this gift. They should take care of it and never neglect it. It is the thing that allows the Muslim to communicate with the creator five times a day.

What is the significant role played by Animals in the Glorious Quran – The Ever-Glorious Qur’an presents to us the stories of the Prophets and the friends of Allah. Within these stories we find a group of animals that have played a great and significant role in history. The crow that Allah sent to Adam’s son in order to show him how to hide the dead body of his brother. 31. Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: “Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?” Then he became one of those who regretted. (Surah Al-Maidah;31) The birds that Ibrahim (Abraham) had killed and divided upon the mountaintops and then Allah gave them life again. 260. And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said, “My Lord! Show me how you give life to the dead.” He (Allah) said: “Do you not believe?” He [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: “Yes (I believe), but to be stronger in Faith.” He said: “Take four birds, then cause them to incline towards you (then slaughter them, cut them into pieces), and then put a portion of them on every hill, and call them, they will come to you in haste. And know that Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (Surah Al-Baqarah;260.)The cow of Banu Israel that Musa (Moses) ordered to be slaughtered in order to disclose the identity of a mysterious murderer. 67. And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: “Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow.” They said, “Do you make fun of us?” He said, “I take Allah’s Refuge from being among Al-Jahilun (the ignorants or the foolish).”68. They said, “Call upon your Lord for us that He may make plain to us what it is!” He said, “He says, ‘Verily, it is a cow neither too old nor too young, but (it is) between the two conditions’, so do what you are commanded.”69. They said, “Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us its colour.” He said, “He says, ‘It is a yellow cow, bright in its colour, pleasing to the beholders.’ “70. They said, “Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us what it is. Verily to us all cows are alike, And surely, if Allah wills, we will be guided.”71. He [Musa (Moses)] said, “He says, ‘It is a cow neither trained to till the soil nor water the fields, sound, having no other colour except bright yellow.’ “They said, “Now you have brought the truth.” So they slaughtered it though they were near to not doing it.72. And (remember) when you killed a man and fell into dispute among yourselves as to the crime. But Allah brought forth that which you were hiding.73. So We said: “Strike him (the dead man) with a piece of it (the cow).” Thus Allah brings the dead to life and shows you His Ayat(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) so that you may understand. (Surah Al-Baqarah;67-73) The wolf that was falsely accused of eating Yusuf (Joseph). 13. He [Ya’qub (Jacob)] said: “Truly, it saddens me that you should take him away. I fear lest a wolf should devour him, while you are careless of him.”14. They said: “If a wolf devours him, while we are ‘Usbah (a strong group) (to guard him), then surely, we are the losers.”15. So, when they took him away, they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well, and We inspired in him:”Indeed, you shall (one day) inform them of this their affair, when they know (you) not.”16. And they came to their father in the early part of the night weeping.17. They said:”O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Yusuf (Joseph) by our belongings and a wolf devoured him; but you will never believe us even when we speak the truth.” (Surah Yusuf;13-17) The hoopoe of Sulayman (Solomon) that informed him about the Queen of Sheba. 22. But the hoopoe stayed not long, he (came up and) said: “I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba’ (Sheba) with true news. (Surah An-Naml;22) The termite ate the staff of Suleiman on which he was leaning while he was sitting dead on his chair. After the termite had eaten through the wood, the Prophet fell down and his death became known. 14. Then when We decreed death for him [Sulaiman (Solomon)], nothing informed them (jinns) of his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his stick, so when he fell down, the jinns saw clearly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment. (Surah Saba’;14)‘Uzayr’s donkey whom Allah put to death for a hundred years and then gave it life once again, right in front of his owner’s eyes. 258. Have you not looked at him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah), because Allah had given him the kingdom? When Ibrahim (Abraham) said (to him): ” My Lord (Allah) is He Who gives life and causes death.” He said, “I give life and cause death.” Ibrahim (Abraham) said, “Verily! Allah causes the sun to rise from the east; then cause it you to rise from the west.” So the disbeliever was utterly defeated. And Allah guides not the people, who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.).259. Or like the one who passed by a town and it had tumbled over its roofs. He said: “Oh! How will Allah ever bring it to life after its death?” So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He said: “How long did you remain (dead)?” He (the man) said: “(Perhaps) I remained (dead) a day or part of a day”. He said: “Nay, you have remained (dead) for a hundred years, look at your food and your drink, they show no change; and look at your donkey! And thus We have made of you a sign for the people. Look at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh”. When this was clearly shown to him, he said, “I know (now) that Allah is Able to do all things.” (Surah Al-Baqarah;258-259)The whale that swallowed  Yunus (Jonah) for a while and then threw him out to the land because he was among those who praise Allah. 142. Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. (Surah As-Saffaat;142. ) The dog of the people of the cave that slept with them for three hundred and nine years. 22. (Some) say they were three, the dog being the fourth among them; (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth, guessing at the unseen; (yet others) say they were seven, the dog being the eighth. Say (O Muhammad ): “My Lord knows best their number; none knows them but a few.” So debate not (about their number, etc.) except with the clear proof (which We have revealed to you). And consult not any of them (people of the Scripture, Jews and Christians) about (the affair of) the people of the Cave. 25. And they stayed in their Cave three hundred (solar) years, and add nine (for lunar years). (Surah Al-Kahf;22,25).  Suleiman’s ant that had called the ants to escape to their dwellings, lest Suleiman and his hosts crush them, while they perceive not. 18. Till, when they came to the valley of the ants, one of the ants said: “O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Sulaiman (Solomon) and his hosts crush you, while they perceive not.”19. So he [Sulaiman (Solomon)] smiled, amused at her speech and said: “My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favours which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves.” (Surah An-Naml;18-19) Abrahah’s elephant that was ordered to destroy the Ka’bah but was frozen in its place because of his fear of Allah and so he could not proceed. 1. Have you (O Muhammad ()) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka’bah at Makah]. (Surah Al-Feel;1)This group of animals was mentioned in the Ever-Glorious Qur’an along with another group that included a bird, animal or plant but was actually a miracle of Allah. For example, Musa’s staff that was turned into a snake. ‘Isa’s clay that he had formed and breathed onto it, and it became a real bird by Allah’s Permission. The flocks of birds that Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He) sent to the companions of the elephant to strike them with stones of baked clay. 3. And sent against them birds, in flocks, 4. Striking them with stones of Sijjil. 5. And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle). Surah Al-Feel; 3-5)The spider  is also another creature that is mentioned in the Qur’an 41. The likeness of those who take Auliya’ (protectors and helpers) other than Allah is as the likeness of a spider, who builds (for itself) a house, but verily, the frailest (weakest) of houses is the spider’s house; if they but knew. (Surah Al-Ankabut;41)In these stories we come to know a group of beings from the animal kingdom that played their roles in life and appeared on the platform of events for a while before the curtain was finally let down. The Ever-Glorious Qur’an has only mentioned them or flashed a certain instance of their life before us, while the details of their lives remain vague.

What is the single most important message from Allah (SWT) that all the messengers brought? (Abu Dawud).

What is the straight path we are ordered to follow? The religion of Islam is the straight path we are ordered to follow and are forbidden to leave. It is the religion with which Allah sent His . Messengers and revealed His Books. He accepts none but it from His slaves, and He saves none but those who follow it. And, whosoever follows other than it, he will certainly go astray. Allah (SWT) says; And verily, this is My Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path}. (Surah Al-An’am; 153) The Prophet (PBUH) drew a line (on earth) then said; “This is the Straight Path of Allah.” Then, he drew lines to its right and left, and said; “These are paths, none amongst which is without a devil calling thereto.” Then he (PBUH) recited; And verily, this is My Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path}. What is the textual proof from the Glorious Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah that love for Allah and His Prophet is a precondition for faith in the Almighty? Allah (SWT) says; (O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him}. (Surah Al-Ma’idah; 54) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says; “Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of Faith; (a) The one to whom Allah and His Messenger becomes dearer than anything else. (Surah Al-Mulk; 16-17) Allah (SWT) says; They fear their Lord above them}. (Surah AnNahl; 50) Allah (SWT) says; To Him ascend (all) the goodly words, and the righteous deeds exalt it}. (Surah Maryam;  71-72) Allah (SWT) says; “On the Day you shall see the believing men and the believing women; their light running forward before them and by their right hands}. (Surah Al-Hadid; 12)

What is the textual proof from the Glorious Qur’an that the trial of the grave and its blessing or torment is a truth? Allah (SWT) says; “No! It is but a word that he speak; and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected}. (Surah Al-Mu’minun; 100) Allah (SWT) says; “So Allah saved him from the evils that hey plotted (against him), while an evil torment encompassed Fir`aun’s (Pharaoh) people. The Fire, they are exposed to it ,morning and afternoon. And on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels); “Cause Fir`aun’s (Pharaoh) people to enter the severest torment!”}. (Surah Ghafir; 45-46) Allah (SWT) says; “Allah will keep firm those who believe, with the word that stands firm in this world (i.e. they will keep on . worshipping Allah Alone and none else), and in the Hereafter.24 }. What is the textual proof of  Intercession Shafa’ah? Which is the greatest one? Who will practice it? For the sake of whom? When? Allah the Almighty mentioned the Intercession in numerous locations in His Glorious Qur’an. He mentioned thereof serious conditions and that it is a dominion that belongs to none but Allah. He says; “Say; To Allah belongs all intercession}. (Surah Az-Zumar; 44) The greatest Intercession on the Day of Judgment, the Day of Reckoning will be  granted to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is the Maqam Mahmud (a station of praise and glory) that is promised by Allah the Almighty in His Statement, “It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqam Mahmud (a station of praise and glory, i.e. the honor of intercession on the Day of Resurrection)}. (Surah Al-Isra; 79) When will it be? Allah the Almighty told us that it will not be other than with His Own Leave and Permission; “Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission?}. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 255) Allah (SWT) says; “No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His Leave}. (Surah Yunus, 3) And fear a Day (of Judgement) when a person shall not avail another, nor will intercession be accepted from him nor will compensation be taken from him nor will they be helped. (Surah Al-Baqarah; 48) And fear the Day (of Judgement) when no person shall avail another, nor shall compensation be accepted from him, nor shall intercession be of use to him, nor shall they be helped. (Surah Al-Baqarah; 123). Allah (SWT) says; “And there are many angels in the heavens, whose intercession will avail nothing except after Allah has given leave for whom He wills and is pleased with}. (Surah An-Najm; 26) Allah (SWT) says; “Intercession with Him profits not except for him whom He permits}. (Surah Saba’; 23) From whom does Allah accept Intercession? Allah the Almighty informed us that it will not be enjoyed by anyone but by His Leave and Permission. He also informed us that only His pious and godly worshippers are the ones to enjoy it. He says; “They will not speak except him whom the Most Gracious (Allah) allows, and he will speak what is right}. (Surah An-Naba’; 38) . Allah (SWT) says; “None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from the Most Gracious (Allah)}. (Surah Maryam; 87) For whom does Allah grant Intercession? Allah informed us that it will not be granted but for whom He is pleased with. He says; “And they cannot intercede except for him with whom He is pleased}. (Surah Al-Anbiya’; 28) Allah (SWT) says; “On that day no intercession shall avail, except the one for whom the Most Gracious (Allah) has given permission and whose word is acceptable to Him}. (Surah Ta-Ha; 109) Almighty Allah does not accept or be pleased with other than the people of true and pure Monotheism and loyalty. As for the others, Allah says; “There will be no friend, nor an intercessor for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers), who could be given heed to}. (Surah Ghafir; 18) Allah (SWT) says; “Now we have no intercessors, nor a close friend (to help us)}. (Surah Ash-Shu’ ara’; 100-101) Allah (SWT) says; “So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them}. (Surah Al-Muddaththir; 48) He (PBUH) told us that he is granted Intercession; “So they will come to me and I will ask the permission of my Lord, and I will be permitted (to present myself) before Him. When I see my Lord, I will fall down in (prostration) before Him and He will leave me (in prostration) as long as He wishes, and then it will be said to me, ‘O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to; and ask, for you will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.’ I will then raise my head and praise my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me, and then I will intercede.” (Bukhari and Muslim) . He (PBUH) told us that he will not intercede for the sake of all! the disobedient from among the monotheists once and for all, but he said; “Allah will allow me to intercede (for a certain kind of people) and will fix a limit whom I will admit into Paradise.” Then, he comes back and prostrate himself again and he is given a second group to admit into Paradise, till the end of the lengthy Hadith of the Intercession narrated by Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) on Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim. Narrated Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him); I said; “O Allah’s Messenger! Who will be the luckiest person, who will gain your intercession on the Day of Resurrection?” Allah’s Messenger said; 0 Abu Hurairah! “I have thought that none will ask me about it before you as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths. The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said sincerely from the bottom of his heart “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.” (Sahih Bukhari)

What is the textual proof of believing in death from the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah? Allah (SWT) says; “Say; The angel of death, who is set over you, will take your souls. Then you shall be brought to your Lord}. (Surah As-Sajdah; 11) Allah (SWT) says; “Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full}. (Surah Ale-`Imran; 185) Allah (SWT) says; “Verily you (0 Muhammad (PBUH)) will die, and verily they (too) will die}. (Surah Az-Zumar;  30) Allah (SWT) says; “And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (0 Muhammad (PBUH)); then if you die, would they live forever?}. (Surah Al-Anbiya’; 34) Allah (SWT) says; “Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honor will remain forever}. (Surah Ar-Rahman;  26, 27) Allah (SWT) says; “Everything will perish save His Face}. (Surah Al-Qasas; 88) Allah (SWT) says; “And put your trust (0 Muhammad (PBUH)) in the Ever Living One Who dies not}. (Surah Al-Furqan; 58) Also, countless are the Hadiths concerning death. No doubt, death is witnessed by human beings every day, even every hour, so that no rational man can deny, doubt or only believing men and women act upon its requirements, however. Besides, we believe in the fact that anyone dies or gets killed by any means, we believe in that this is his destiny and the time appointed for him by Allah the Almighty Who says; “Each runs its course for a term appointed}. (Surah Ar-Ra’d; 2). Surah Fatir; 13) & Surah Az-Zumar;  5) Allah (SWT) says; “And every nation has its appointed term, when their term comes, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment)}. (Surah Al-A’raf; 34)

What is the textual proof of Ihsan (Perfection of Faith) from the Glorious Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah? I’hsan is the highest of the three levels of faith and the closest to God.  Ihsan (Perfection in worship) is to be conscious of Allah during worship. As Allah said; “Who sees you when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajud prayer), And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers).”(Surah Ash-Shu’ara’; 2l8-219) Thus the literal linguistic meaning of I’hsan is doing the best, which is doing what God commanded us to do. Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct (I’hsan) and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded (Surah Al-Na’hl;  90).And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment (Surah Al-Isra;  23)Yes, whoever submits his face in Islam to Allah while being a doer of good will have his reward with his Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve (Surah Al-Baqarah; 112). So Allah rewarded them for what they said with gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of doers of good (Surah Al-Ma-ida; 85). Allah (SWT) says; “And spend in the Cause of Allah (i.e. Jihad of all kinds) and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allah) and do good. Truly, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers)}. (Surah Al-Baqarah;  195) Allah (SWT) says; “Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinun (gooddoers)}. (Surah An-Nahl; 128) Allah (SWT) says; “And whosoever submits his face (himself) to Allah, while he is a Muhsin (good-doer i.e. performs good deeds totally for Allah’s sake without any show off or to gain praise or fame and does them in accordance with the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger Muhammad (PBUH)), then he has grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold [La ilaha illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)]}. (Surah Luqman;  22) Allah (SWT) says; “For those who have done good is the best (reward, i.e. Paradise) and even more (i.e. having the honor of glancing at the Countenance of Allah the Almighty)}. (Surah Yunus;  26) Allah (SWT) says; “Is there any reward for good other than good?}. (Surah Ar-Rahman;  60) Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) says; “Verily, Allah ordained Ihsan (Perfection of Faith) on everything.” (Sahih Muslim) The Prophet Muhammad said; “lhsan (Perfection in worship) is to worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, (and if you cannot concentrate to that extent) yet truly He is seeing you”. (Muslim)Therefore, a Mu’hsen does his/her best to say and do only what pleases God and conforms to His commands. This is the level of righteousness, perfection, as well as doing and saying the ultimate good for the sake of goodness. The word “I’hsan” in Arabic is a derivative of the verb “ahsana,” which means doing things better. He (PBUH) says; “Blessed is the slave who dies while worshipping Allah properly, and serving his master properly, blessed is he.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof of making knowledge of the meaning of the Shahadah a condition for pronouncing it? Allah (SWT) says; “Except for those who bear witness to the truth knowingly} i.e. believe in the Oneness of Allah, “and they know}. (Surah Az-Zukhruf; 86) i.e. they know in their heart the facts about the Oneness of Allah and its meaning. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says; “He who died knowing (fully well) that there is no god but Allah entered Paradise “. (Sahih Muslim)

What is the textual proof of Shafa’ah Intercession? Which is the greatest one? Who will practice it? For the sake of whom? When? Allah the Almighty mentioned the Intercession in numerous locations in His Glorious Quran. He mentioned thereof serious conditions and that it is a dominion that belongs to none but Allah. What is the textual proof of the Annual Preordainment that takes place during Lailat Al-Qadr (the Night of Might)? Allah (SWT) says; Therein (that night is decreed every matter of ordainments. As a Command (or this Qur’an or the Decree of every matter)from Us. ((Surah Ad-Dukhan, 4-5) Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said; It is copied from AlLauh Al-Mahfuz on the Night of Might the matters of deaths, births, provisions, calamities, etc. for the whole (coming) year as decreed by Allah. Even names of the pilgrims; it is said; so and so will perform Hajj, and so and so will perform Hajj.

What is the textual proof of the Daily Preordainment? Allah (SWT) says; Everyday He is (engaged) in some affair (such as giving honor or disgrace to some, life or death to some, etc.)!. ((Surah Ar-Rahman, 29) In AI-Hakim’s Sahih, Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said; “Among the things created by Allah the Almighty is Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz, (it is created) from a white pearl; its two covers are made of a ruby; its Pen is light; its Book is light; every day, He looks at it three hundred and sixty looks or times. In each look He creates, provides, gives life, ordains death, gives honor, grants humiliation, and does all that He wills. This is . the meaning of His Saying; “Everyday He is (engaged) in some affair! ((Surah Ar-Rahman; 29)   All these types of Pre-ordainments are details of the Eternal one that which Allah the Almighty ordered the Pen to write in AI-Lauh AI-Mahfuz. In this sense, the following Qur’anic verse was interpreted by Ibn ‘Umar and Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them); “Verily, We were recording what you used to do (i. e. Our angels used to record your deeds)}. (Surah Al-Jathiyah;  29) All this springs from Allah’s Knowledge that is His Quality and Attribute, All Glory and Praise are His!

What is the textual proof of the Eternal Preordainment? Allah (SWT) says; No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but it is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al-Lauh AlMahfuz) before We bring it into existence.  (Surah Al-Hadid; 22) ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Al-‘As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported; “I heard Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) as saying; ‘Allah ordained the measures (of quality) of the creation fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, as His Throne was upon water.’”(Muslim) Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that Suraqah Ibn Malik came and said; Allah’s Messenger, explain our religion to us (in away) as if we have been created just now. Whosoever deeds we do today, is it because of the fact that -the Pens have dried (after recording them) and the destinies have began to operate or these have effects in future? Thereupon, he said; The pens have dried and destinies have begun to operate. (Suraqah Ibn Malik) said; If it is so, then what is the use of doing good deeds? Zuhair said; Then Abu Zubair said something but I could not understand that and I said; What did he say? Thereupon, he said; Act, for everyone is facilitated what he intends to do.” (Sahih Bukhari) Narrated Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him); I said; “O Allah’s Messenger! I am a young man and I am afraid that I may commit illegal sexual intercourse and I cannot afford to marry.” He kept silent, and then repeated my question once again, but he kept silent. I said the same (for the third time) and he remained silent. Then repeated my question (for the fourth time), and only then the Prophet (PBUH) said; “O Abu Hurairah! The Pen has dried after writing what you are going to confront. So (it does not matter whether you) get yourself castrated or not.”(Sahih Bukhari)

What is the textual proof of the fourth rank; Affirming faith that Allah is the Creator of everything? Allah (SWT) says; “Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the Wakil (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things}.  (Surah Az-Zumar; 62) Allah (SWT) says; “Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky (rain) and the earth?} (Fatir, 3) Allah (SWT) says; “This is the creation of Allah. So show Me that which those (whom you worship) besides Him have created}. (Surah Luqman; 11) Allah (SWT) says; “Allah is He Who. created you, then provided food for you, then will cause you to die, then (again) He will give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Is there any of your (so-called) partners (of Allah) that do anything of that?}. (Surah Ar-Rum, 40) . Allah (SWT) says; “While Allah has created you and what you make!}. (Surah As-Saffat, 96) Allah (SWT) says; “By Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him}. (Surah Ash-Shams, 7, 8) Allah (SWT) says; “Whomsoever Allah guides, he is the guided one, and whomsoever He sends astray, – then those! They are the losers}. ((Surah Al-A’raf, 178) Allah (SWT) says; “But Allah has endeared the Faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts, and has made disbelief, wickedness and disobedience (to Allah and His Messenger (PBUH) hateful to you}. (Surah Al-Hujuraat, 7) Narrated Imam Al-Bukhari on the authority of Hudhaifah, “Verily, Allah creates every maker and his making (i.e. what he makes).” (Sahih Bukhari) Zaid Ibn ‘Alqam (May Allah be pleased with him) reported; I am not going to say anything but only that which Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) used to say. He used to supplicate; “O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from incapacity, from sloth, from cowardice, from miserliness, decrepitude and from torment of the grave. 0 Allah, grant to my soul the sense of righteousness and purify it, for Thou art the Best Purifier thereof Thou art the Protecting Friend thereof, and Guardian thereof 0 Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the knowledge which does not benefit, from the heart that does not entertain the fear (of Allah), from the soul that does not feel contented and the supplication that is not responded.” (Sahih Muslim)

What is the textual proof of the Life-time Pre-ordainment on the Day of Covenant? Allah (SWT) says; “And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying); “Am I not your Lord?” They said; “Yes! We testify”}. (Al-A’ raf, 172) Ibn Ishaq Ibn Rahawaih narrated that a man said; “O Allah’s Messenger! Are deeds to be initiated, or is everything already ordained?’ He (PBUH) said; ‘When Allah the Almighty brought out the Children of Adam from his loin, He made them testify as to themselves, then He put them in His Palm and said; ‘these are for Paradise and these are for Hell-fire. The people of Paradise are facilitated for them the deeds of the people of Paradise, and the people of Hellfire are facilitated for them the deeds of the people of Hellfire. ” In Al-Muwata’ of Imam Malik; ‘Vmar Ibn AIKhattab (May Allah be pleased with him) was asked about this verse; “And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying); “Am I not your Lord?” They said; “Yes! We testify, “}. (Al-A’raf, 172) He (`Umar) said; “I heard Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) when asked (the same question) about it saying; ‘Allah, Glory is His, created Adam, then He wiped his back with His Right Hand, till He brought out. of him offspring and said; ‘I created these for Paradise and (so) they will proceed to the deeds of the people of Paradise.’ Then, He wiped his back and brought out of him offspring and said; ‘I created these for Hellfire and (so) they will proceed to the deeds of the people of Hellfire.’” (Malik, Abu Dawud, Ahmed and At- Tirmidhi) In At-Tirmidhi; ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr (May Allah be pleased with them) said; Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) came out to us holding two . books in his hands. He said; “‘Do you know what these two books are?’ We said; ‘No, O Allah’s Messenger! Would you tell us?’ He said pertaining to that in his right hand, ‘This is a Book from the Lord of the Worlds, in which there are names of the people of Paradise, the names of their fathers and tribes, none will ever be added, nor taken away therefrom.’ Then, he said pertaining to that which is in his left hand, ‘This is a Book from the Lord of the Worlds, in which there are names of the people of Hell-fire, the names of their fathers and tribes, none will ever be added, nor taken away therefrom. ‘ The companions of the Prophet (PBUH) said; ‘Why do we then labor while everything is settled down?’ He (PBUH) said; ‘Be sure you are on the right course, and if you fail to observe this perfectly, try to do as much as you can (to live up to this ideal of moderation), the deeds of one from among the people of Paradise would be concluded with a good deed no matter what he did.’ Then, he (PBUH) said; ‘Your Lord accomplished (all that concerns) the slaves; a group in Paradise and a group in Hell-fire.” AtTirmidhi said; This is a Good, Authentic Hadith.

What is the textual proof of the Life-time Pre-ordainment when the Nutfah is first created? Allah (SWT) says; “He knows you well when He created you from the earth (Adam), and when you were fetuses in your mothers’ wombs. So ascribe not purity to yourselves. He knows best him who fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him (i.e. those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious)}. (An-Najm, 32) Narrated’ Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him); Allah’s Messenger, the true and truly inspired said; “(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature’s) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into . him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof of the miraculous nature of the Glorious Qur’an? AThe proof of this is the fact that the Glorious Qur’an was revealed in a period that extended more than twenty years, challenging the most eloquent of all mankind. “Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Qur’an) if they are truthful}. (At-Tur, 34) Allah (SWT) says; “Say; Bring you the ten forged Surahs (chapters) like unto it}. (Hud, 13) Allah (SWT) says; “Say; Bring then a Surah (chapter) like unto it}. (Yunus, 38) But, they could not do it, though they were keen on refuting and rejecting it with all their power and might. Though the Qur’an’s characters and words are Arabic – their mother tongue – with which they used to communicate, and in which they used to compete, they could not challenge or even imitate it. The Glorious Qur’an declared their incapability of challenging its miraculous nature in the verse that reads, “Say; If the mankind and the Jinn were together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another}. (Al-Isra’, 88) Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) says; ((Every Prophet was given miracles because of which people believed ,but what I have given Divine Inspiration which Allah has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection.” (Bukhari and Muslim) Countless numbers of scholars and scientists wrote on various aspects of the miraculous nature of the Glorious Qur’an. They tried hard to tackle its . wording, meanings, news of the ancients, and news of the unseen, but all they could get is like what a small sparrow can get with its pointed beak from the great ocean!21

What is the textual proof of the Most Beautiful Names of Allah from the Glorious Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah? Allah (SWT) says; “And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them, and leave the company of those who belie or deny (or utter impious speech against) His Names}. (Al-A’ rat, 180) Allah says; “Say (O Muhammad (PBUH)); “Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Gracious (Allah), by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best Names}. (Al-Isra’, 110) Allah says; “Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names}. (Ta-Ha, 8) Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) says; “Allah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise,. and Allah is Witr (one) and loves ‘the Wit’ (i.e., odd numbers).”(Bukhari and Muslim) He (PBUH) says; “I ask You with all Your Names, whether You called Yourself therewith, or You revealed in Your Book, or You made known to one of Your Creatures, or You kept unseen with You, (I ask You with all these) to make the Glorious Qur’an the spring for my heart”. (Imam Ahmed)

What is the textual proof of the testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah? Allah (SWT) says; “Indeed Allah conferred a great favor on the believers when He sent among them a Messenger (Muhammad (PBUH)) from among themselves, recitingunto them His verses (the Qur’an), and purifying them (from sins by their following him), and instructing them (in) the Book (the Qur’an) and Al-Hikmah [the wisdom and the Sunnah of the Prophet (i.e. his legal ways, statements, acts of worship)], while before that they had been in manifest error}. (Surah Al’ Imran, 164) Allah says; “Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad (Peace be upon him» from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any . injury or difficulty. He is anxious over you;11 for the believers (he (Peace be upon him» full of pity, kind, and merciful}. (Surah At- Taubah, 128) Allah says; “When the hypocrites come to you (O Muhammad (PBUH), they say; “We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of Allah.”Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars indeed}. (Surah Al-Munafiqun, 1)

What is the textual proof of the third rank; affirming faith in the Willingness of Allah? Allah (SWT) says; (But you cannot will, unless Allah wills). (Al-Insan, 30) Allah (SWT) says; “And never say of anything, “I shall do such and such thing tomorrow.” Except (with the saying), “if Allah will!”}. (Al-Kahf, 23, 24) Allah (SWT) says; “Allah sends astray whom He wills and He guides on the Straight Path whom He wills}. (Al-An’ am, 39) Allah (SWT) says; “And had Allah willed, He could have made you (all) one nation}. (Al-Ma’idah, 48 & An-Nahl, 93) Allah (SWT) says; “And if Allah had willed, He could have made them one nation}. (Ash-Shura, 8)  Allah (SWT) says; “But if it had been Allah’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you)}. (Muhammad, 4) Allah (SWT) says; “(He is the) Doer of whatsoever He intends (or wills)}. (Al-Buruj, 16) Allah (SWT) says; “Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ‘Be!” – and it is!}. (Ya-Sin, 82) Allah (SWT) says; “Verily! Our Word unto a thing when We intend it, is only that We say unto it; “Be!” – and it is!}. (An-Nahl, 40) Allah (SWT) says; “And whomsoever Allah wills to guide, He opens his breast to Islam,. and whomsoever He wills to send astray, He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky}. (Al-An’am, 125) ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Al-‘As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported that he heard Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) as saying; “Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between the two fingers out of the fingers of the Compassionate Lord as one heart. He turns that to any (direction) He likes. Then Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said; 0 Allah! The Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Thine Obedience.” (Sahih Muslim) Narrated’ Abdullah Ibn Abu Qatadah (May Allah be pleased with him); My father said; “One night we were traveling with the Prophet (PBUH) and some people said; ‘We wish that Allah’s Messenger would take a rest along with us during the last hours of the night.’ He said; ‘I am afraid that you will sleep and miss the (Fajr) prayer.’ Bilal said; ‘I will make you get up,’ So all slept and Bilal rested his back against his Rahila (riding-camel) and he too was overwhelmed (by sleep) and slept. The Prophet (PBUH) got up when the edge of the sun had risen and said; ‘O Bilal! What about your statement?’ He replied, ‘I have never slept such a sleep. ‘The Prophet (PBUH) said; ‘Allah captured your souls when He wished, and released them when He wished. . 0 Bilal! Get up and pronounce the Adhan (the call to prayer) for the prayer.’ The Prophet (PBUH) performed ablution and when the sun came up and became bright, he stood up and prayed.” (Bukhari and Muslim) Narrated Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him); Whenever a beggar or a person in need of something came to the Prophet (PBUH), he used to say (to his companions), “Intercede (for him) and you will be rewarded for that, and Allah will fulfill what He will through His Messenger’s tongue.” (Bukhari and Muslim) Narrated Mu’ awiyah (May Allah be pleased with him); I heard Allah’s Messenger saying, “If Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion. I am just a distributor, but the grant is from Allah. (And remember) that this nation (true Muslims) will keep on following Allah’s teachings strictly and they will not be harmed by any one going on a different path till Allah’s Order (Day of Judgment) is established.” (Bukhari and Muslim) Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) as saying; When Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, intends to show mercy to an Ummah from amongst His servants He calls back His Messenger to his eternal home and makes hima harbinger and recompense in the world to come; and when He intends to cause destruction to an Ummah, He punishes it while its Messenger is alive and He destroys it as he (the Messenger) witnesses it and he cools his eyes by destruction as they had belied him and disobeyed his command.” (Sahih Muslim)

What is the textual proof of these articles of Faith from the Glorious Qur’an, mentioned together? Allah (SWT) says; “It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allah, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets}. (Surah AI-Baqarah, 177) Allah (SWT) says; “Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation as written in the Book of Decrees -Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz)}. (Surah AIQamar,49) The textual proof of each of them will be given later, Allah willing.

What is the textual proof reward and punishmen in Paradise and Hell after death? Allah (SWT) says pertaining to Paradise, “ He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.}. (Surah At-Taubah; 100) 9. (And remember) the Day when He will gather you (all) on the Day of Gathering, that will be the Day of mutual loss and gain (i.e. loss for the disbelievers as they will enter the Hell-fire and gain for the believers as they will enter Paradise). And whosoever believes in Allah and performs righteous good deeds, He will remit from him his sins, and will admit him to Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) to dwell therein forever, that will be the great success.  (Surah At-Taghabun; 9) Allah (SWT) says; “43. “And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all.44. “It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned.45. “Truly! The Muttaqun will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise).46. “(It will be said to them); ‘Enter therein (Paradise), in peace and security.’47. “And We shall remove from their breasts any sense of injury (that they may have), (So they will be like) brothers facing each other on thrones. 48. “No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it.”}. (Surah Al-Hijr, 48) Allah (SWT) says; “108. And those who are blessed, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord will, a gift without an end.}. (Surah Hud; 108) Allah (SWT) says; “12. In the Gardens of delight (Paradise).13. A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam).14. And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations).15. (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones,16. Reclining thereon, face to face.17. They will be served by immortal boys,18. With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine,19. Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication.20. And fruit; that they may choose.21. And the flesh of fowls that they desire.22. And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious),23. Like unto preserved pearls.24. A reward for what they used to do.25. No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.).26. But only the saying of; Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace) !27. And those on the Right Hand, – Who will be those on the Right Hand?28. (They will be) among thornless lote trees,29. Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another,30. In shade long-extended,31. By water flowing constantly, 32. And fruit in plenty,33. Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off,34. And on couches or thrones, raised high.35. Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation.36. And made them virgins.37. Loving (their husbands only), equal in age.38. For those on the Right Hand.39. A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam).40. And a multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the later times (generations).41. And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand?42. In fierce hot wind and boiling water,43. And shadow of black smoke,44. (That shadow) neither cool, nor (even) good,45. Verily, before that, they indulged in luxury,46. And were persisting in great sin (joining partners in worship along with Allah, committing murders and other crimes, etc.)47. And they used to say; “When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected?48. “And also our forefathers?”49. Say (O Muhammad ); “(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times.50. “All will surely be gathered together for appointed Meeting of a known Day.51. “Then moreover, verily, you the erring-ones, the deniers (of Resurrection)!52. “You verily will eat of the trees of Zaqqum.53. “Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 54. “And drink boiling water on top of it,55. “So you will drink (that) like thirsty camels!”}. (Surah Al-Waqi’ah; 12-55) Allah (SWT) says; “49. This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun is a good final return (Paradise), 50. ‘Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered].51. Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 52. And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 53. This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun – the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 54. (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish;55. This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger – disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire),56. Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest!57. This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges.58. And other torments of similar kind, all together!59. This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire!}. (Surah Sad, 49-59) Allah (SWT) says; “51. Verily! The Muttaqun, will be in place of Security (Paradise).52. Among Gardens and Springs;53. Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other,54. So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes.55. They will call therein for every kind of fruit in peace and security;56. They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire,57. As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success!}. (Surah Ad-Dukhan; 51-56) Pertaining to Hell-fire, Allah (SWT) says; “168. Verily, those who disbelieve and did wrong [by concealing the truth about Prophet Muhammad  and his message of true Islamic Monotheism written with them in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], Allah will not forgive them, nor will He guide them to any way, .169. Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever, and this is ever easy for Allah.}. (Surah An-Nisaa; 168-169) Allah (SWT) says; “Verily, Allah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell). Wherein they will abide forever, and they will find neither a Wali (a protector) nor a helper}. (Surah Al-Ahzab; 64-65) Allah (SWT) says; “And whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then verily, for him is the Fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever}. (Surah Al-Jinn; 23) Allah (SWT) says; “167. And those who followed will say; “If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown (declare ourselves as innocent from) them as they have disowned (declared themselves as innocent from) us.” Thus Allah will show them their deeds as regrets for them. And they will never get out of the Fire }. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 167) Allah (SWT) says; “(The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein}. (Surah Az-Zukhruf; 75) Allah (SWT) says; “Neither will it have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them}. (Surah Fatir; 36) Allah (SWT) says; “Verily whoever comes to his Lord as a Mujrim (criminal, polytheist, sinner, disbeliever in the Oneness of Allah and His Messengers), then surely, for him is Hell, wherein he will neither die nor live}. (Surah Ta-Ha; 74)

What is the textual proof that a Muslim must believe in the Divine Decree (Predestination)? Allah (SWT) says; “38. There is no blame on the Prophet (PBUH) in that which Allah has made legal for him. That has been Allah’s Way with those who have passed away of (the Prophets of) old. And the Command of Allah is a decree determined.}. (Surah Al-Ahzab; 38) Allah (SWT) says; “42. (And remember) when you (the Muslim army) were on the near side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan on the ground lower than you. Even if you had made a mutual appointment to meet, you would certainly have failed in the appointment, but (you met) that Allah might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge); so that those who were to be destroyed (for their rejecting the Faith) might be destroyed after a clear evidence, and those who were to live (i.e. believers) might live after a clear evidence. And surely, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.43. (And remember) when Allah showed them to you as few in your (i.e. Muhammad’s( ) dream, if He had shown them to you as many, you would surely have been discouraged, and you would surely have disputed in making a decision. But Allah saved (you). Certainly, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts.44. And (remember) when you met (the army of the disbelievers on the Day of the battle of Badr), He showed them to you as few in your eyes and He made you appear as few in their eyes, so that Allah might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge), and to Allah return all matters (for decision).}. (Surah Al-Anfal;  42-44) Allah (SWT) says; “37. And (remember) when you said to him (Zaid bin Harithah; the freed-slave of the Prophet ) on whom Allah has bestowed Grace (by guiding him to Islam) and you (O Muhammad  too) have done favour (by manumitting him) “Keep your wife to yourself, and fear Allah.” But you did hide in yourself (i.e. what Allah has already made known to you that He will give her to you in marriage) that which Allah will make manifest, you did fear the people (i.e., Muhammad  married the divorced wife of his manumitted slave) whereas Allah had a better right that you should fear Him. So when Zaid had accomplished his desire from her (i.e. divorced her), We gave her to you in marriage, so that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the believers in respect of (the marriage of) the wives of their adopted sons when the latter have no desire to keep them (i.e. they have divorced them). And Allah’s Command must be fulfilled.}. (Surah Al-Ahzab; 37) Allah (SWT) says; “11. No calamity befalls, but with the Leave [i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainments)] of Allah, and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart [to the true Faith with certainty, i.e. what has befallen him was already written for him by Allah from the Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], and Allah is the All-Knower of everything.} (Surah At-Taghabun; 11) Allah (SWT) says; “166. And what you suffered (of the disaster) on the day (of the battle of Uhud when) the two armies met, was by the leave of Allah, in order that He might test the believers.} (Surah Ale-Imran; 166) Allah (SWT) says; “156. Who, when afflicted with calamity, say; “Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”157. They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones}. (Surah Al-Baqarah; 156-157)

What is the textual proof that a Muslim must believe in the existence of Paradise and Hellfire?  Allah (SWT) says; “Then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers. And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise)}. (AlBaqarah, 24, 25) . Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him); The Prophet (PBUH) used to invoke Allah at night, saying, “O Allah! All the Praises are for You; You are the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth. All the Praises are for You,’ You are the Maintainer of the Heaven and the Earth and whatever is in them. All the Praises are for You,’ You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth. Your Word is the Truth, and Your Promise is the Truth, and the Meeting with You is the Truth, and Paradise is the Truth, and the (Hell) Fire is the Truth, and the Hour is the Truth. 0 Allah! I surrender myself to You, and I believe in You and I depend upon You, and I repent to You and with You (Your evidences) I stand against my opponents, and to you I leave the judgment (for those who refuse my message). 0 Allah! Forgive me my sins that I did in the past or will do in the future, and also the sins I did in secret or in public. You are my only God (Whom I worship) and there is no other God for me (i.e. I worship none but You).” (Sahih Bukhari) Narrated `Ubadah (May Allah be pleased with him); The Prophet (PBUH) said; “If anyone testifies that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His Slave and His Messenger, and that Jesus is Allah’s Slave and His Messenger and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is true, and Hell is true, Allah will admit him into Paradise with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few.” (Junadah, the sub-narrator said”; ‘Ubadah added, ‘Such a person can enter Paradise through any of its eight gates he likes. “‘) (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof that a Muslim must believe in the Last Day? Allah (SWT) says; “Verily, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present world, and those who are heedless of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). Those, their abode will be the Fire, because of what they used to earn}. (Yunus, 7, 8) Allah says; “Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds) is surely true. And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen}. (Adh-Dhariyat, 5, 6) Allah says; “Verily, the Hour (Day of Judgement) is surely coming, there is no doubt about it}. (Ghafir, 59)

What is the textual proof that a Muslim should believe in Allah’s Messengers? There are so many proofs from the Glorious Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah, some of which are; Allah (SWT) says; “Verily, those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allah and His Messengers (by believing in Allah and disbelieving in His Messengers) saying, “We believe in some but reject others,” and wish to adopt a way in between. They are in truth disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment. And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and make no distinction between any of them (Messengers), We shall give them their rewards; and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful}. (An-Nisaa, 150-152) Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) says; “I believed in Allah and His Messengers.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof that acceptance (of the Message of Islam) is a precondition of faith in Allah from the Glorious Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah? Regarding those who did not accept it, Allah (SWT) says; “(It will be said to the angels); “Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship, instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell),. but stop them, verily they are to be questioned. What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)? Nay, but that Day they shall surrender. And they will turn to one another and question one another. They will say; It was you who used to come to us from the right side7. They will reply; Nay, you yourselves were not believers. And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were Taghun (transgressing) people. So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray. Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. Certainly, that is how We deal with AI-Mujrimun8. Truly, when it was said to them; La ilaha illallah “(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah?” They puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). And (they) said; “Are we going to abandon our alihah (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?}. (Surah As-Saffat, 22-36) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says; “The similitude of that guidance and knowledge with which Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has sent me is that of rain falling upon the earth. There is a good piece of land which receives the rainfall (eagerly) and as a result of it there is grown in it herbage and grass abundantly. Then there is a land hard and barren which retains water and the people derive benefit from it and they drink it and make the animals drink. Then there is another land which is barren. Neither water is retained in it, nor is the grass grown in it. And that is the similitude of the first one who develops the understanding of the religion of Allah and it becomes a source of benefit to him with which Allah sent me. (The second one is that) who acquires the knowledge of religion and imparts it to others. (Then the other type is) one who does not pay attention to (the revealed knowledge) and thus does not accept guidance of Allah with which I have been sent”. (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof that Allah is the Most High in Rank? What must be negated pertaining to Allah the Almighty? One should know that Allah’s Highness in Rank is what is manifested in His Names; the Sublime Holy, the Peace, the Ever-Great, and the Supremely High, etc. and it is also what is required by all the Attributes describing His Perfection and Glory. No one can share Him His Dominion or part thereof. No one can be held as partner, supporter, or even intercessor before Him except with His Leave and Permission. He is the One Who is Free from all imperfections and defects that are attributed to His creatures. He is the One Who is Free from imperfection, His Attributes free from deficiency and His Dealings free from blemish. All perfection is attributed to Him Alone. He is the One Whose Pride and Utmost Perfection are Absolute. He is Ever-Great in His Entity, Attributes and Action above . any similarity to His creatures. He is the One Who is Above everyone and everything in the whole universe. He is extremely Free from any defects. In addition, He is the Example of Infallibility. He, Allah (SWT)  says; “His is the highest description (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but He, and there nothing comparable unto Him) in the heavens and in the earth. And He is the All-Mighty, the AllWise}. (Ar-Rum, 27)

What is the textual proof that degrees of Faith vary from one person to another? Allah, the Almighty says; “And those foremost [in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam] will be foremost (in Paradise). These will be the nearest (to Allah). In the Gardens of Delight. A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later generations. (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones. Reclining thereon, face to face. Immortal boys will go around them (serving), with cups, and jugs, and a glass of flowing wine, wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. And with fruit that they may choose, and with the flesh of fowls that they desire. And (there will be) Hur (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), like unto preserved pearls. A reward for what they used to do. No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, not any sinful speech (like backbiting). But only the saying of; Salam! Salam! (greetings with peace)! And those on the Right Hand –how (fortunate) will be those on the Right Hand?}. (Surah Al-Waqi’ah, 10-27) Allah (SWT) says; “Then, If he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun those brought near to Allah), (there is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of Delights (Paradise). And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for those on the right Hand}.( Surah Al-Waqi’ah, 88-91) . Allah (SWT) says; “Then of them are some who wrong their own selves, and of them are some who follow a middle course, and of them are some who are, by Allah’s Leave, foremost in good deeds. That (inheritance of the Qur’an) that is indeed a great grace}. (Surah Fatir, 32) The Prophet (PBUH) says; “Whoever said “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a barley grain will be taken out of Hell. And whoever said; “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a wheat grain will be taken out of Hell. And whoever said; “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of an atom will be taken out of Hell “. (Bukhari and Muslim) He (PBUH) says; “Allah the Almighty takes out of Hell he who has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a Dinar, then who has in heart good (faith) equal to the weight of half a Dinar “. (Sahih Muslim)

What is the textual proof that faith in Allah’s Comprehensive Knowledge is one of faith ranks in His Divine Decree? Allah (SWT) says; He is Allah beside Whom La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) the AllKnower of the unseen and the seen}. (Surah Al-Hashr,22) Allah (SWT) says; “And that Allah surrounds all things in (His) Knowledge}. (Surah At-Talaq,12) Allah (SWT) says; “The All-Knower of the Unseen, it will come to you,’ not even the weight of an atom (or a small ant) or less than that or greater escapes His Knowledge in the heavens or in the earth}. (Surah Saba’, 3) Allah (SWT) says; “And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in the land and in the sea,’ not a leaf falls, but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor . anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record}. (Surah Al-An’ am, 59) Allah (SWT) says; “Allah knows best with whom to place His Message}. (Surah Al-An’am, 124) Allah (SWT) says; “Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided}. (Surah An-Nahl, 125, & Surah Al-Qalam, 7) Allah (SWT) says; “Does not Allah know best those who are grateful?}. (Surah Al-An’am,53) Allah (SWT) says; “Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the breasts of the `Alamin (mankind and jinn)}. (Surah Al-`Ankabut, 10) Allah (SWT) says; “And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels; “Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth.” They said; “Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, -while we glorify You with praises and thanks and sanctify You.” He (Allah) said; “I know that which you do not know”}. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 30) Allah (SWT) says; “Jihad (Fighting in Allah’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know}. (Surah AlBaqarah, 216) Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) was asked about the children of the polytheists, whereupon he said; “It is Allah Who knows best what they would be doing.” (Bukhari and Muslim) ‘A’ishah, the mother of the believers, said that Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) was called to lead the funeral prayer of a child of the Ansar. . I said; Allah’s Messenger, there is happiness for this child who is a bird from the birds of Paradise for it committed no sin nor has he reached the age when one can commit sin. He said; `A’ishah, per adventure, it may be otherwise, because God created for Paradise those who are fit for it while they were yet in their father’s loins and created for Hell those who are to go to Hell. He created them for Hell while they were yet in their father’s loins. ” (Sahih Muslim) Sahl Ibn Sa’d (May Allah be pleased with him) reported it from Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) that a person performs deeds like the deeds of the people of Paradise apparently before people and he would be amongst the dwellers of Hell and a person acts apparently like the people of Hell, but (in fact) he would be among the dwellers of Paradise. ” (Sahih Muslim) Narrated `Ali Ibn Abu Talib (May Allah be pleased with him); “We were accompanying a funeral procession in Baqi `-el-Gharqad. The Prophet (PBUH) came to us and sat and we sat around him. He had a small stick in his hand then he bent his head and started scraping the ground with it. He then said; “There is none among you, and not a created soul, but has place either in Paradise or in Hell assigned for him and it is also determined for him whether he will be among the blessed or wretched.” A man said; “O Allah’s Messenger! Should we not depend on what has been written for us and leave the deeds as whoever amongst us is blessed will do the deeds of a blessed person and whoever amongst us will be wretched, will do the deeds of a wretched person?” The Prophet (PBUH) said; “The good deeds are made easy for the blessed, and bad deeds are made easy for the wretched.” Then he recited the verses; “As for him who gives (in charity) and is Allah-fearing and believes in the Best reward from Allah}. (92.5-6) (Sahih Muslim)

What is the textual proof that faith in the Pre-recording of everything is one of faith ranks in His Divine Decree? Allah (SWT) says; “And all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book}. (Ya-Sin, 12) Allah (SWT) says; (Verily, it is (all) in the Book (Al-Lauh AlMahfuz)}. (Al-Hajj, 70) He says in the debate between Moses and Pharaoh; “[Fir’aun (Pharaoh)] said; What about the generations of old? [Musa (Moses)] said; The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord neither errs nor He forgets}. (Ta-Ha, 51, 52) Allah (SWT) says; “And no female conceives or gives birth but with His Knowledge. And no aged man is granted a length of life nor is a part cut off from his life (or another man’s life), but is in a Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). Surely, that is easy for Allah}. (Fatir, 11) All scholars of Hadith reported; We (some of the Prophet’s companions) were in a funeral in the graveyard of Gharqad that Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) came to us and we sat around him. He had a stick with him. He lowered his head and began to scratch the earth with his stick, and then said; There is not one amongst you whom a seat in Paradise or Hell has not been allotted and about whom it has not been written down whether he would be an evil person or a blessed person. A person said; Allah’s Messenger, should we not then depend upon our destiny and abandon our deeds? Thereupon he said; Acts of everyone will be facilitated in, that which has been created for him so that whoever belongs to the company of the blessed will have good works made easier for him and whoever belongs to the unfortunate ones will have evil acts made easier for him. He then recited this verse (from the Qur’an); “Then, who gives to the needy and guards against evil and accepts the excellent (the truth of Islam and the path of righteousness it prescribes), We shall make easy for him the easy end and who is miserly and considers himself above need, We shall make easy for him the difficult end}. (XCii. 5-10) (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof that Faith increases and decreases? Allah, the Almighty says; “that they may grow more in Faith along with their (present) Faith}. (Al-Fath, 4) Allah says; “…and We increased them in guidance}. (Surah Al-Kahf, 13) Allah says; “And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright}. (Surah Maryam, 76) Allah says; “While as for those who accept guidance, He increases their guidance}. (Surah Muhammad, 17) Allah says; “..and that the believers may increase in Faith}. (Surah AlMuddaththir, 31) Allah says; “As for those who believe, it has increased their Faith}. (Surah At-Tawbah, 124) Allah says; “…therefore, fear them.” But it (only) increased them in Faith}. (Surah Al’ Imran, 173) Allah says; “And it only added to their Faith and to their submissiveness (to Allah)}. (Surah Al-Ahzab, 22) The Prophet (PBUH) says; “By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if your state of mind remains the same as it is in my presence and you are always busy in remembrance (of Allah), the Angels will shake hands with you in your beds and in your paths but, Hanzala, time should be devoted (to the worldly affairs) and time (should be devoted to prayer and meditation). He (the Holy Prophet) said this thrice “. (Sahih Muslim)

What is the textual proof that Faith must be expressed in words and deeds? Allah, the Almighty says; “But Allah has endeared the Faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts}. (Surah Al-Hujuraat, 7) Allah says; “So believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad (PBUH)}. (Al-A’raf, 158) This is the meaning of the two testimonies without which one cannot be regarded a Muslim. Moreover, Faith must be felt in the heart and expressed by word of mouth; for it to be useful, the two must go together. Allah, the Almighty says; “And Allah would never make your ‘Faith’ to be lost}. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 143) i.e. your ‘Prayers’ offered towards Jerusalem before the conversion of the Qiblah 13 . Prayers are referred to as Faith because their performance involves the heart, words of mouth and limbs. The Prophet (PBUH) declared the following to be some of the proofs of one’s Faith; Jihad, observing prayers during the Night of Qadr (Power)14 , fasting during the month of Ramadan, praying at night during this month, and performing the five compulsory Prayers properly. Moreover, the Prophet (PBUH) was once asked about the best of all deeds. He said; “To believe in Allah and His Messenger”. (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof that one should make friends and declare enmity only for Allah’s Sake?  Allah, Most High says; “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya’ (friends, protectors, helpers), they are but Auliya’ of each other. And if any amongst you takes them (as Auliya’), then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers and unjust). And you see those in whose hearts there is a disease (of hypocrisy), they hurry to their friendship, saying; “We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may befall us.” Perhaps Allah may bring a victory or a decision according to His Will. Then they will become regretful for what they have been keeping as a secret in themselves. And those who believe will say; “Are these the men (hypocrites) who swore their strongest oaths by Allah that they were with you (Muslims)?” All that they did has been in vain (because of their hypocrisy), and they have become the losers. O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him,’ humble towards the believers, stem towards the disbelievers fighting in the Way of Allah, and never fear of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower. Verily, your Wali (Protector or Helper) is none other than Allah, His Messenger, and the believers, -those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakah, and they are Raki’un (those who bow down or submit themselves with obedience to Allah in prayer)}. (Surah Al-Ma’idah, 51-55) Allah says; “O you who believe! Take not as Auliya’ (supporters and helpers) your fathers and your brothers if they prefer disbelief to Belief. And whoever of you does so, then he is one of the Zalimun (wrong-doers)}. (Surah At-Taubah, 23) Allah says; “ You (O Muhammad (PBUH)) will not find . any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad (PBUH)), even though they were their fathers or their sons or their mothers or their kindred (people)}. (Surah AlMujadilah, 22) Allah says; “O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists) as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth, and have driven out the Messenger and yourselves (from your homeland) because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers and polytheists as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-A ware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray from the Straight Path}. (Surah Al-Mumtahanah, 1)

What is the textual proof that Paradise and Hell-Fire are currently existing? Allah the Almighty informed us that they are existing and that they are already prepared. Pertaining to Paradise, He says; Prepared for All-Muttaqun (the pious). (Surah Ale ‘Imran, 133) And, pertaining to HellFire, He says; Prepared for the disbelievers. ‘I (Surah Ale’ Imran, 131) In addition, He, Glory is His, informed us that He made Adam and Eve reside in Paradise before their eating from the forbidden tree. Moreover, He informed us that the disbelievers are exposed to the Hell-Fire every morning and evening.

What is the textual proof that Pilgrimage (Hajj) is compulsory? The Hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah) is the fifth of the fundamental Muslim practices and institutions known as the five pillars of Islam. The Muslims gather to meet one another and demonstrate to each other, and the world, that they are united. Unity in diversity and universal brotherhood. They are united by their worship of One Allah (SWT). Islam is the religion of unity and peace. Repeatedly throughout the Qur’an Allah (SWT) reminds the believers that they must remain united and seek strength through unity. Hajj epitomizes this unity.   People from every race and color come together in submission to the will of Allah (SWT). Muslims are one brotherhood and they come together with a sense of purpose and a desire for peace. Pilgrimage is made to the Kaaba, found in the sacred city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia, the ‘House of God,’ whose sanctity rests in that the Prophet Abraham (PBUH) built it for the worship of Allah (SWT).It is mentioned in the Qur’an “And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makah) to the House (Kaaba) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance, provision and residence) ; and whoever disbelieves then Allah stands not in need of any of mankind, jinn and all that exists” (Qur’an 3;97) 128. “Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto You, and show us our Manasik (all the ceremonies of pilgrimage – Hajj and ‘Umrah, etc.), and accept our repentance. Truly, You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful. Surah Al-Baqarah;  (128) 158. Verily! As-Safa and Al-Marwah (two mountains in Makkah) are of the Symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who perform Hajj or’Umrah (pilgrimage) of the House (the Ka’bah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them (As-Safa and Al-Marwah). And whoever does good voluntarily, then verily, Allah is All-Recogniser, All-Knower. Surah Al-Baqarah;  (158. ) 196. And perform properly (i.e. all the ceremonies according to the ways of Prophet Muhammad ), the Hajj and ‘Umrah (i.e. the pilgrimage to Makkah) for Allah. But if you are prevented (from completing them), sacrifice a Hady (animal, i.e. a sheep, a cow, or a camel, etc.) such as you can afford, and do not shave your heads until the Hady reaches the place of sacrifice. And whosoever of you is ill or has an ailment in his scalp (necessitating shaving), he must pay a Fidyah (ransom) of either observing Saum (fasts) (three days) or giving Sadaqah (charity – feeding six poor persons) or offering sacrifice (one sheep). Then if you are in safety and whosoever performs the’Umrah in the months of Hajj, before (performing) the Hajj, (i.e. Hajj-at-Tamattu’ and Al-Qiran), he must slaughter a Hady such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, he should observe Saum (fasts) three days during the Hajj and seven days after his return (to his home), making ten days in all. This is for him whose family is not present at Al-Masjid-al-Haram (i.e. non-resident of Makkah). And fear Allah much and know that Allah is Severe in punishment.197. The Hajj (pilgrimage) is (in) the well-known (lunar year) months (i.e. the 10th month, the 11th month and the first ten days of the 12th month of the Islamic calendar, i.e. two months and ten days). So whosoever intends to perform Hajj therein by assuming Ihram), then he should not have sexual relations (with his wife), nor commit sin, nor dispute unjustly during the Hajj. And whatever good you do, (be sure) Allah knows it. And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness, etc.). So fear Me, O men of understanding! Surah Al-Baqarah;  (196-197)97. Allah has made the Ka’bah, the Sacred House, an asylum of security and Hajj and ‘Umrah (pilgrimage) for mankind, and also the Sacred Month and the animals of offerings and the garlanded (people or animals, etc. marked with the garlands on their necks made from the outer part of the stem of the Makkah trees for their security), that you may know that Allah has knowledge of all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and that Allah is the All-Knower of each and everything. Surah Al-Maidah ()1. O you who believe! Fulfill (your) obligations. Lawful to you (for food) are all the beasts of cattle except that which will be announced to you (herein), game (also) being unlawful when you assume Ihram for Hajj or ‘Umrah (pilgrimage). Verily, Allah commands that which He wills.2. O you who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the Symbols of Allah, nor of the Sacred Month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlanded people or animals, etc. [Marked by the garlands on their necks made from the outer part of the tree-stems (of Makkah) for their security], nor the people coming to the Sacred House (Makkah), seeking the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when you finish the Ihram (of Hajj or ‘Umrah), you may hunt, and let not the hatred of some people in (once) stopping you from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment. Surah Al-Maidah (1-2)95. O you who believe! Kill not game while you are in a state of Ihram for Hajj or ‘Umrah (pilgrimage), and whosoever of you kills it intentionally, the penalty is an offering, brought to the Ka’bah, of an eatable animal (i.e. sheep, goat, cow, etc.) equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or, for expiation, he should feed Masakin (poor persons), or its equivalent in Saum (fasting), that he may taste the heaviness (punishment) of his deed. Allah has forgiven what is past, but whosoever commits it again, Allah will take retribution from him. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution.96. Lawful to you is (the pursuit of) water-game and its use for food – for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel, but forbidden is (the pursuit of) land-game as long as you are in a state of Ihram (for Hajj or ‘Umrah). And fear Allah to Whom you shall be gathered back.97. Surah Al-Maidah (95-97)97. In it are manifest signs (for example), the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim (Abraham); whosoever enters it, he attains security. And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka’bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah), then he is a disbeliever of Allah], then Allah stands not in need of any of the ‘Alamin(mankind and jinns). Surah Ale-Imran () 27. And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj).28. That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade, etc.), and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice) (at the time of their slaughtering by saying; Bismillah, Wallahu-Akbar, Allahumma Minka wa Ilaik). Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time. 29. Then let them complete the prescribed duties (Manasik of Hajj) for them, and perform their vows, and circumambulate the Ancient House (the Ka’bah at Makkah).30. That (Manasik prescribed duties of Hajj is the obligation that mankind owes to Allah), and whoever honours the sacred things of Allah, then that is better for him with his Lord. The cattle are lawful to you, except those (that will be) mentioned to you (as exceptions). So shun the abomination (worshipping) of idol, and shun lying speech (false statements) Surah Al-Hajj (27-30).

What is the textual proof that Prayer and Zakah are compulsory? Allah, the Almighty says; “But if they repent and perform Prayer, and give Zakah, then leave their way free}. (Surah At-Taubah,5) Allah says; “But if they repent, perform Prayer and give Zakah, then they are your brethren in religion}. (Surah At-Taubah, 11) Allah says; “And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone, and perform Prayer and give Zakah}. (Al-Bayyinah, 5)

What is the Textual proof that the Balance is a truth from the Prophetic Sunnah? How is it described? There are many Hadiths regarding this issue. Foremost among which is the Hadith of the two-testimonies (Shahadah) card and that it overweighs ninety-nine records of sins, each one is as long as the sight may reach. Another saying of Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) pertaining to Ibn Mas’ ud (May Allah be pleased with him) as saying; “Do you wonder at the thinness of his legs! By Him in Whose Hand my life is! On the Balance, they are more heavy than Uhud (Mount).” (Imam Ahmed) He (PBUH) says; “On the Day of Judgment, a fat man will be brought, and he will not weigh what equals a wing of a mosquito in the Sight of Allah.” He (PBUH) says; “Read, “And on the Day of Resurrection, We shall assign to weight for them}. (Al-Kahf, 105)” (Bukhari and Muslim)

What is the textual proof that the believers will see their Lord on the Hereafter? Allah (SWT) says; “22. Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 23. Looking at their Lord (Allah)}. (Surah Al-Qiyamah; 22-23) Allah (SWT) says about the disbelievers, “15. Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day}. (Surah Al-Mutaffifin; 15)

What is the textual proof that there will be a resurrection from the graves? Allah (SWT) says; “O mankind! If you are in doubt about be Resurrection, then verily We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge i.e. the offspring of Adam), then from a clot (apiece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh some – formed and some unformed (as in the case of miscarriage) – that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing after having known. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), and it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth). That is because Allah; He is the Truth, and it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who is Able to do all things. And surely, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it, . and certainly, Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves}.(Al-Hajj, 5-7) Allah (SWT) says; “And He it is Who originates the creation, then He will repeat it (after it has been perished); and this is easier for Him}.(Ar-Rum, 27) Allah (SWT) says; As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it. (It is) a promise binding upon is. Truly, We shall do it}. (Al-Anbiya’, 104) Allah (SWT) says; “And man (the disbeliever) says; “When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive ?” Does not man remember that We created him before, while he was nothing}. (Maryam, 66, 67) Allah (SWT) says; “Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female sexual discharge – semen drops). Yet behold he (stands forth) as an open opponent. And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says; “Who will give life to these bones after they are rotten and have become dust?” Say; (0 Muhammad (PBUH)) “He will give life to them Who created them for the first time! And He is the All-Knower of every creation!” He Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold you kindle therewith. Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth, Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All Knowing Supreme Creator. Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ‘Be!” – and it is! So glorified is He and exalted above ill that they associate with Him, and in Whose Hands is the dominion of all things; and to Him you shall be returned}. (Ya-Sin, 77-83) Allah (SWT) says; “Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and was not wearied by their creation, is Able to give life to the dead? Yes, He surely is Able to do all things. And on the Day when those who disbelieve will be exposed . to the Fire (it will be said to them); “Is this not the truth?” They will say; “Yes, By our Lord!” He will say; “Then taste the torment, because you used to disbelieve!” Therefore be patient (0 Muhammad (PBUH)) as did the Messengers of strong will and be in no haste about them (disbelievers). On the Day when they will see that (torment) with which they are promised (i.e. threatened, it will be) as if they had not stayed more than an hour in a single day. (0 mankind! This Qur’an is sufficient as) a clear Message (or proclamation to save yourself from destruction). But shall any be destroyed except the people who are AI-Fasiqun (the rebellious against Allah’s Command, the disobedient to Allah)?}. (Al-Ahqaf, 33) Allah (SWT) says; “And among His Signs (in this), that you see the earth barren; but when We send down water (rain) to it, it is stiffed to life and growth (of vegetations). Verily, He Who gives it life, surely, is Able to give life to the dead (on the Day of Resurrection). Indeed He is Able to do all thing(s}. (Fussilat, 39) Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him); While a man was riding (his Mount) in ‘Arafat, he fell down from it (his Mount) and broke his neck (and died). The Prophet (PBUH) said; “Wash him with water and Sidr and shroud him in two pieces of cloth, and neither perfume him, nor cover his head, for he will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection saying, ‘Labbaik,’ (i.e. like a pilgrim). ” (Sahih Bukhari) Narrated Khabbab (May Allah be pleased with him); I was a blacksmith and did some work for Al’As Ibn Wa’il. When he owed me some money for my work, I went to him to ask for that amount. He said; “I will not pay you unless you disbelieve in Muhammad.” I said; “By Allah! I will never do that till you die and be resurrected.” He said; “Will I be dead and then resurrected after my death?” I said; “Yes.” He said; “There I will have property and offspring and then I will pay you your due.” Then Allah revealed, “Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our signs, and yet says; I will be given property and offspring?} (19.77) (Sahih Bukhari)

What is the textual proof that there will be the blowing in the Horn? How many are the blowings? . A —Allah (SWT) says; “And the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon away, except him whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown a second time, and behold they will be standing, looking on (waiting)}. (AzZumar, 68) Here two blowings were mentioned, the first for the swooning of all in the heavens and all who are on the earth, and the second for the Resurrection. In another verse Allah says; “And (remember) the Day on which the Trumpet will be blown – and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth, will be terrified except him whom Allah will (exempt)}. (An-Naml, 87) This verse implies that there will be a socalled blowing of Terror. However, whosoever interpreted the terror in this verse by the swooning, for him terror refers to the first blowing that is mentioned in the Surah of Az-Zumar. This interpretation is supported by the Hadith transmitted by Imam Muslim that reads; Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said in the Hadith narrated by Ibn ‘Amr (May Allah be pleased with them); “… Then the trumpet would be blown and no one would hear that but he would bend his neck to one side and raise it from the other side and the first one to hear that trumpet would be the person who would be busy in setting right the tank meant for providing water to the camels. He would swoon and the other people would also swoon, then Allah would send or He would cause to send rain which would be like dew and there would grow out of it the bodies of the people. Then the second trumpet would be blown and they would stand up and begin to look (around). Then it would be said; 0 people, go to your Lord, and make them stand there. And they would be questioned. Then it would be said; Bring out a group (out of them) for the Hell-Fire. And then it would be asked; How much?It would be said; Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of one thousand for the Hell-Fire and that would be the day which would make the children old because of its terror and that would be the day about . which it has been said; “On the day when the shank would be uncovered}. (lxviii. 42).” (Muslim) Whosoever interpreted the terror by other than the swooning, for him it is a third blowing prior to the aforementioned two. This viewpoint is supported by the lengthy Hadith of the Horn, in which there are three blowings; the blowing of Terror, the blowing of Swooning, and the blowing of the Raising before the Lord of the Worlds.

What is the textual proof that they call for the same principle of worship (mentioned earlier)? The proof of this from the Glorious Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah is of two types; (a) summarized and (b) detailed. As for the summarized; Allah (SWT)  says; “And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming); “Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah)”}. (An-Nahl, 36) Allah (SWT) says; “And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad (PBUH)) but We revealed to him (saying); “La ilaha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)], so worship Me (Alone and none else) “}. (Al-Anbiya’, 25) Allah (SWT) says; “And ask (O Muhammad (PBUH)) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you; “Did We ever appoint alihah (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Gracious (Allah)?”). (Az-Zukhruf, 45) . As for the detailed; Allah (SWT)  says; “And indeed We sent Nuh (Nuh) to his people, and he said; “O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (god) but Him (Islamic Monotheism)}. (AlMu’minun, 23) Allah (SWT) says; “And to Thamud (people, We sent) their brother Salih. He said; “O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (god) but Him”}. (Al-A’raf, 73) Allah (SWT) says; “And to ‘Ad (people, We sent) their brother Hud. He said; “O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (god) but Him”}. (Al-A’raf, 65 & Hud, 50) Allah (SWT) says; “And to (the people of) Madyan (Midian), (We sent) their brother Shu ‘aib. He said; “O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other llah (god) but Him”}. (Al-A’raf, 85 & Hud, 84) Allah (SWT) says; “And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father and his people; “Verily, I am innocent of what you worship. Except Him (i.e. Allah Alone I worship none) Who did create me; and verily He will guide me”}. (Az-Zukhruf, 26, 27) Allah (SWT) says; “Your ilah (god) is only Allah (the One) La ilaha ilia Huwa (none has the right to be Worshipped but He), He has full knowledge of all things}. (Ta-Ha, 98) Allah (SWT) says; “But the Messiah [‘ Isa (Jesus)] said; “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode}. (AlMa’idah, 72) Allah (SWT) says; “Say (O Muhammad (PBUH)); “I am only a warner and there is no Ilah (god) except Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) the One, the Irresistible “}. (Sad, 65)

What is the unparalleled tolerance of Islam? 84. Say (O Muhammad (PBUH); “We believe in Allah (SWT) and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Ibrahim(AS)  (Abraham), Isma’il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya’qub (Jacob) and Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya’qub (Jacob)] and what was given to Musa(AS)  (Moses), ‘Isa (AS) (Jesus) and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between one another among them and to Him (Allah (SWT) we have submitted (in Islam). “(Surah Ale-‘‘Imran; 84) .

What is the use of charity? 60. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allah shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly. (Surah al-Anfaal 60) 18. Verily, those who give Sadaqat (i.e. Zakat and alms, etc.), men and women, and lend to Allah a goodly loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and theirs shall be an honourable good reward (i.e. Paradise).(Surah al-Hadid 18) 16. So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can; listen and obey; and spend in charity, that is better for yourselves. And whosoever is saved from his own covetousness, then they are the successful ones.  17. If you lend to Allah a goodly loan (i.e. spend in Allah’s Cause) He will double it for you, and will forgive you. And Allah is Most Ready to appreciate and to reward, Most Forbearing, (Surah al-Taghabun?16-17)  .

What is the Criterion with regards to the Greater Sins? In connection with the greater sins, reference to which has been made in several verses of the Noble Qur’an, “31. If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden to do, We shall remit from you your (small) sins, and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e. Paradise) (Surah al- Nisa’ 31). 37. And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and when they are angry, they forgive (Surah al- Shura 37) .

What is the origin and reality of the Jinn? The Jinn are another creation of Allah; the jinn are not fallen angels.  It can be deduced from the literal meaning of this word that the Jinn is an entity that is invisible; numerous characteristics of this being are mentioned in the Qur’an. It is an entity that has been created from the flames of fire, unlike man, who has been created from earth; They were created from a smokeless flame of fire, and existed before the creation of Adam (AS). They have their rules of conduct and have been given certain special capabilities; several passages about them appear in Surah Al-Jinn. Like humans, they are given the choice of doing good or evil, to believe in Allah and to obey His commandments. It is for this reason, both mankind and Jinn will be accounted for on the judgment day. 50. And (remember) when We said to the angels; “Prostrate to Adam.” So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was one of the jinn; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zalimun (polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc). (Surah Al-Kahf  50) so, the first recorded jinn to be disobedient is Iblis.  1.  It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said; Lo! It is a marvelous Qur’an, (Surah Al-Jinn 1) 14. He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 15. And the jinn did He create from a smokeless flame of fire.16. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny? (Surah ar-Rahman 14-16).  Some of them are believers while others are disbelievers;  “11.’There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups each having a different way (religious sect, etc.).”(Surah al-Jinn 11). They shall be resurrected; “And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell,”  (Surah al- Jinn 15). They initially possessed the power to penetrate into the skies, eavesdrop and procure news but were later prohibited; “And that we used to sit in some of the sitting-places thereof to steal a hearing, but, he who would (try to) listen now would find a flame lying in wait for him.” (Surah al- Jinn 9). They used to establish contact with some of the people and, by means of the limited knowledge of the Unseen that they possessed, endeavoured to misguide the people; “6. ‘And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief. (Surah al-Jinn 6). From amongst them there are those who, like some humans, possess great powers; “An Ifrit (strong) from the jinns said; “I will bring it to you before you rise from your place (council). And verily, I am indeed strong, and trustworthy for such work..” (Surah al- Naml 39). They possess the power to perform some of the tasks that are required by man; “And to Solomon (We subjected) the wind, its morning (stride from sunrise till midnoon) was a month’s (journey), and its afternoon (stride from the midday decline of the sun to sunset) was a month’s (journey i.e. in one day he could travel two months’ journey). And We caused a fount of (molten) brass to flow for him, and there were jinns that worked in front of him, by the Leave of his Lord, and whosoever of them turned aside from Our Command, We shall cause him to taste of the torment of the blazing Fire. They worked for him what he desired, (making) high rooms, images, basins as large as reservoirs, and (cooking) cauldrons fixed (in their places). “Work you, O family of Dawud (David), with thanks!” But few of My slaves are grateful.” (Surah Saba 12, 13). Their creation on the earth was prior to man’s creation; “26. And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.27. And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire. ” (Surah al- Hijr 26-27) 30. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny?31. We shall attend to you, O you two classes (jinns and men)!32. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny? 33. O assembly of jinn and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)! 34. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny? (Surah ar-Rahman 30-34) 128. And on the Day when He will gather them (all) together (and say); “O you assembly of jinn! Many did you mislead of men,” and their Auliya’ (friends and helpers, etc.) amongst men will say; “Our Lord! We benefited one from the other, but now we have reached our appointed term which You did appoint for us.” He will say; “The Fire be your dwelling-place, you will dwell therein forever, except as Allah may will. Certainly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.” (Surah Al-Anam 128)130. O you assembly of jinn and mankind! “Did not there come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?” They will say; “We bear witness against ourselves.” It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. (Surah Al-Anam 130) 56. And I (Allah) created not the jinn and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). (Surah Az-Zariyat 56);88. Say; “If the mankind and the jinn were together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another.” (Surah Al-Asraa 88) 179. And surely, We have created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not, they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth). They are like cattle, nay even more astray; those! They are the heedless ones. (Surah Al-Araf 179).

What is the reality of Angels? The Qur’an (Koran), the holy book of Islam, has a lot to say about angels. Muslims honor angels as an important part of their faith. The Noble Qur’an has spoken about the angels on numerous occasions with a great number of verses speaking of their attributes, characteristics and responsibilities. So much so that the Qur’an places the issue of belief in the angels at par with belief in Allah, the prophets and the Divine books, and this itself is proof of the fundamental importance of this issue. 1. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the (only) Originator [or the (only) Creator] of the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers with wings, – two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things. (Surah Fatir;1)   “The messenger believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers; they all believe in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers.”(Surah al- Baqarah 285) Undoubtedly, the existence of the angels is one of the issues of the ghaib (Unseen) and therefore, proving their existence and their characteristics cannot be accomplished except by means of transmitted proofs; hence, we ought to accept them according to the ruling of ‘believing in the Unseen’.The Qur’an mentions their characteristics as follows; The angels are entities that possess intelligence and comprehension, and are the honourable servants of Allah (SWT).  “Nay! they are honored servants.” (Surah al-Anbiya 26) They are totally subservient to Allah (SWT) and never exhibit insubordination towards Him. “They do not precede Him in speech and (only) according to His commandment do they act.” (Surah al-Anbiya 27) They have been assigned important and greatly varied responsibilities on the part of Allah (SWT). A group upholds the ‘Arsh (Throne). (Surah al- Haqqah 17) A group ‘regulates the affair’. (Surah al- Nazia’at 5) A group of them are for the seizing of the souls. (Surah al-A’raf 37) A group is vigilant of the deeds of the humans. (Surah al- Infitar 10-13) A group protects humans from perils and untoward in cidents. (Surah al- An’am 61) A group is responsible for punishing and chastising the rebellious and recalcitrant nations. (Surah Hud; 77) Some angels are divine helpers for the believers during battles. (Surah al-Ahzab 9) And finally some of the angels bring down the Revelation and the Divine books for the prophets… ( (Surah al-Nahl 2) They are perpetually engaged in glorifying and sanctifying Allah (SWT) “And the angels sing the praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth.” (Surah al-Shura. 5) Despite all the above, man, due to his ability to develop and achieve perfection, is superior to them to the extent that all the angels, without exception, fell into prostration when Adam was created and he became their teacher. (Surah al-Baqarah 30-34) Occasionally they take the form of humans and manifest themselves before the prophets and even individuals who are not prophets, as we read in the chapter Maryam (s.a.) that a great angel appeared before Maryam (s.a.) in the form of a ‘perfect’ man. “Then We sent to her Our spirit, and there appeared to her a well-made man.” (Surah Maryam;  17) On other occasions they appeared before prophets Ibrahim and Lut (a.s.) in the form of humans. 69. And verily, there came Our Messengers to Ibrahim (Abraham) with glad tidings. They said; Salam (greetings or peace!) He answered, Salam (greetings or peace!) and he hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf. 77. And when Our Messengers came to Lout (Lot), he was grieved on their account and felt himself straitened for them (lest the town people should approach them to commit sodomy with them). He said; “This is a distressful day.” (Surah Hud; 69, 77) From the end of these verses it can also be inferred that the people of prophet Lut (a.s.) too witnessed them in that ‘measured’ human form. 78. And his people came rushing towards him, and since aforetime they used to commit crimes (sodomy, etc.), he said; “O my people! Here are my daughters (i.e. the daughters of my nation), they are purer for you (if you marry them lawfully). So fear Allah and degrade me not as regards my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?” (Surah Hud; 78) They possess different grades and varied ranks; some are always in a state of ruku’ while others are perpetually in a state of prostration. “And there is none of us but has an assigned place, and most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, and we are most surely they who declare the glory of Allah .” (Surah al-Saffat 164 -166). Angels, who the Qur’an says can appear in either heavenly or human form, are a vitally important part of Islam. Believing in angels is one of Islam’s six articles of faith.snv

What is Wala? (friendship, loyalty)? Wala (friendship, loyalty) is love and help of the faithful believers. Allah (SWT) says; the believers, men and women, are Auliya ( helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another (v.9;71) Allah’s Messenger said; “The faithful believers are as a brick structure, each supporting the other. (Muslims).

What is worship in Islam? Worship is a comprehensive term which includes all sayings and actions which are appreciated by Allah; such as invocation, Salat (prayer), humbling oneself ‘in front of Him etc. Worship is the essence of the Islamic way of life, which revolves around its mysteries and hidden qualities. It is a source of sustenance in the long journey of life; it purifies the heart and gives the human spirit its inner powers. It goes hand in hand with responsibility and obligation, because it is the key to our appreciation of our responsibilities and obligations in life and to the satisfaction and benefits we draw from fulfilling them. Worship in Islam, means ‘obedient submission to the will of God.’ And humbling oneself ‘in front of Him etc.  Every created being ‘submits’ to the Creator by following the physical laws created by God; “To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens and the earth; all obey His will.” (Qur’an 30;26) This worship is the essence of the message of all the prophets sent by God to mankind. As Allah (SWT), says “162. Say (O Muhammad (PBUH); “Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah (SWT), the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).” “(Surah Al-Anam;162).The Prophet said: “Allah says: The most beloved things with which My slave comes nearer to me, is the observance of what I have enjoined upon him.” (Bukhari)

What is Zakat? It is the third pillar of Islam. The word itself means purification. Here it means purification of legally earned money, it is a community welfare tax or compulsory alms-giving. It is to be paid by those who have wealth, for the benefit of those who are poor or in need. Many crimes are committed because of money or for the love of money. Because of this love one becomes violent. “8. And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth.”.(Surah  Al-Aadiyaat 8)  Zakat is mentioned many times in the Qur’an; Allah (SWT) says ; and give Zakat, and lend to Allah a goodly loan, and whatever good you send before you for yourselves, (Surah al-Muzzammil20) Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakat ,spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah s Cause – Jihad,etc.]. (Surah Al-Baqarah; 3) Allah (SWT) mentions in the Qur’an, “The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of God is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing one hundred grains. God gives manifold increase to whom He wishes. God has boundless knowledge. Those who spend their wealth in the cause of God, and do not follow their charity with reminders of their generosity or injure the feeling of the recipient, shall get their reward from their Lord; they shall have nothing to fear or to regret. Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. Surah Al-Baqarah;261-263).  177. It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allah, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of love for it, to the kinsfolk, to the orphans, and to Al-Masakin (the poor), and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and to set slaves free, performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and gives the Zakat, and who fulfill their covenant when they make it, and who are As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.) in extreme poverty and ailment (disease) and at the time of fighting (during the battles). Surah Al-Baqarah;177) “Lo! Those who believe and do good deeds and establish salat and pay zakat, their reward is with their Sustainer; and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.” (Surah Al-Baqarah; 277)  Verily, those who give Sadaqat (i.e. Zakat and alms, etc.), men and women, and lend to Allah a goodly loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and theirs shall be an honourable good reward (i.e. Paradise). (Surah al-Hadid; 18) 60. As-Sadaqat (here it means Zakat) are only for the Fuqara’ (poor), and Al-Masakin (the poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and for to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah’s Cause (i.e. for Mujahidun – those fighting in the holy wars), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allah. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise. (SurahAl-Bara’at/SurahAt-Taubah;60 )Take Sadaqah (alms) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it, and invoke Allah for them. Verily! Your invocations are a source of security for them, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Surah Al-Bara’at/SurahAt-Taubah;103) The giving of Zakat therefore cleanses and purifies the giver by making him aware that he should not be selfish with the wealth Allah has given him. Zakat also helps the poor and needy out of their difficulties and fosters brotherly love between the rich and the poor. Zakat benefits the whole society because it help to distribute wealth among all its members. 7 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. (Surah Fussilat/Surah Ha Mim As Sajdah; 7) “These are verses of the Book full of wisdom, a guide and mercy to the doers of good – those who establish salat and pay zakatand have the assurance of the Hereafter.” (Surah Luqman;4). 103. Take Sadaqah (alms) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it, and invoke Allah for them. Verily! Your invocations are a source of security for them, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. Surah. At-Taubah (103)

What is Zihar and what is the penalty therefore?  Indeed Allah has heard the statement of her (Khaulah bint Tha’labah) that disputes with you (O Muhammad (PBUH) concerning her husband (Aus bin As-Samit), and complains to Allah. And Allah hears the argument between you both. Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer. Those among you who make their wives unlawful (Az-Zihar) to them by saying to them “You are like my mother’s back.” They cannot be their mothers. None can be their mothers except those who gave them birth. And verily, they utter an ill word and a lie. And verily, Allah is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving. And those who make unlawful to them (their wives) (by Az-Zihar) and wish to free themselves from what they uttered, (the penalty) in that case (is) the freeing of a slave before they touch each other. That is an admonition to you (so that you may not return to such an ill thing). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. And he who finds not (the money for freeing a slave) must fast two successive months before they both touch each other. And for him who is unable to do so, he should feed sixty of Miskin (poor). That is in order that you may have perfect Faith in Allah (SWT) and His Messenger. These are the limits set by Allah. And for disbelievers, there is a painful torment. “(Surah al-Mujadilah 1-4)… Allah has not put for any man two hearts inside his body. Neither has He made your wives whom  you declare to be like your mothers’ backs, your real mothers. [Az-Zihar is the saying of a husband to his wife, “You are to me like the back of my mother” i.e. You are unlawful for me to approach.], nor has He made your adopted sons your real sons. That is but your saying with your mouths. But Allah says the truth, and He guides to the (Right) Way. (Surah Al-Ahzab;4).

What is meant by ‘Satan’ in the Qur’an? The word Shaitan is derived from the roots (شطن) and شاطن means ‘impure and base’. Shaitan refers to an entity that is rebellious – irrespective of whether it is of the humans, jinn or animals. It is also said to mean ‘a nefarious soul, who is distanced from Allah (SWT) (s.w.t.) and Truth’; all of these meanings, in reality, can be observed to be turning back to one common element. From the usage of this word in the Qur’an, it can also be inferred that Shaitan is used to denote a harmful being – one who has deviated from the right path and has embarked upon a mission of distressing others; an entity that attempts to create division, discord and corruption, just as we recite; “Surely Shaitan only desires to cause enmity and hatred to spring in your midst.” (Surah ul Rahman ;15) 62. And let not Shaitan (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islamic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy. Surah Az-Zukhruf (The Gold Adornments) Furthermore, we observe that in the Qur’an, the use of the term Shaitan has not been restricted for a specific being; rather it has been used to refer to wicked and corrupt humans too. The Qur’an says; “And thus did We make for every prophet an enemy, the Shaitans from among men and jinn.” (Surah Al-Furqan 31) That Iblis has also been referred to as Shaitan is because of the evilness and corruption that exists within him..

What Islam says on the topic of ‘evolution’ and creationism? Regarding biology, Qur’an says in Surah Ambiya, Chapter 21, Verse No. 30, ‘We have created every living thing from water – Will you not then    believe ?’ Today we know that every living creature – The basic substance… the cell contains cytoplasm, which has about 90% water. Every living creature in the world has approximately 50 to 90 % water. Imagine… in the deserts of Arabia, who could have imagined, that every thing is made of water ? Qur’an says that 14 hundred years ago. . 45Allah has created every moving (living) creature from water. Of them there are some that creep on their bellies, some that walk on two legs, and some that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Verily! Allah is Able to do all things. Surah An-Nur; 45)

What Israel means ? Servent of Allah. After Is’haq AS, the prophetic line continued with Yakub AS, who was to become known as Isra’il, as mentioned in the Qur’an; 84. And We bestowed upon him Ishaque (Isaac) and Ya’qub (Jacob), each of them We guided, and before him, We guided Nuh (Noah), and among his progeny Dawud (David), Sulaiman (Solomon), Ayub (Job), Yusuf (Joseph), Musa (Moses), and Harun (Aaron). Thus do We reward the good-doers. (Surah Al-An’am;84) … 49. So when he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We gave him Ishaque (Isaac) and Ya’qub (Jacob), and each one of them We made a Prophet. Surah Maryam;49) … 71. And We rescued him and Lout (Lot) to the land which We have blessed for the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinns).72. And We bestowed upon him Ishaque (Isaac), and (a grandson) Ya’qub (Jacob). Each one We made righteous.73. And We made them leaders, guiding (mankind) by Our Command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds, performing Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and the giving of Zakat and of Us (Alone) they were worshippers. Surah Al-Anbiyah;71-73) …27. And We bestowed on him [Ibrahim (Abraham)], Ishaque (Isaac) and Ya’qub (Jacob), and ordained among his offspring Prophethood and the Book [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) (to Musa – Moses), the Injeel (Gospel) (to ‘Iesa – Jesus), the Qur’an (to Muhammad ), all from the offspring of Ibrahim (Abraham)], and We granted him his reward in this world, and verily, in the Hereafter he is indeed among the righteous. Surah Al-Ankabut;27) …45. And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya’qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding.46. Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter].47. And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! Surah Saad;45-47).

What Jinns said to their people after listen to the Qur’an? “29. And (remember) when We sent towards you (Muhammad (PBUH) Nafran (three to ten persons) of the jinns, (quietly) listening to the Qur’an, when they stood in the presence thereof, they said; “Listen in silence!” And when it was finished, they returned to their people, as warners.30. They said; “O our people! Verily! We have heard a Book (this Qur’an) sent down after Musa (Moses), confirming what came before it, it guides to the truth and to a Straight Path (i.e. Islam).” (46;29-32).

What kind of recommendation the Muslim should make? 85. Whosoever intercedes for a good cause will have the reward thereof, and whosoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in its burden. And Allah (SWT) is Ever All-Able to do (and also an All-Witness to) everything.  (Surah an-Nisaa; 85).

What makes the Qur’an ‘distinctive’ from the earlier Scriptures?  Of all the scriptures, Qur’an alone has the Divine Guarantee of protection; 9. Verily We; It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption) . (Surah Al-Hijr; 9) A clear manifestation of the Divine Guarantee is the, Hifz (memorisation) of the whole Arabic Text by hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world. Irrespective of their different mother tongues, they are capable of accurately reciting the whole Arabic text. During the month of Ramadan, in special ‘Tarawih’ prayers the entire Qur’an is recited by ‘Huffaz, thus ensuring the continuity of hifz for all times.` Even if no printed copy of Qur’an is available it can ‘easily be rewritten as it is indelibly  preserved in the memory of Huffaz and this tradition of remembering the Qur’an by heart is meticulously maintained from generation to generation, which ensures the absolute purity of the text against all corruptions, accretions and mutilations. Except for the Qur’an, no other scripture exists today, in the same text as originally revealed, All others are only translations, which have also been subject to various revisions. The universalism of Qur’an has triple Divine affirmations; for the sender, the messenger and the message;  A Revelation (this Qur’an) from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Surah Al-Waqi’ah; 80) And We have sent you (O Muhammad ) not but as a mercy for the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Surah Al-Anbiyah; 107) 87. “It (this Qur’an) is only a Reminder for all the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinns).  (Surah Saad; 87).

What miracles performed by Jesus to prove his veracity mentioned in the Qur’an? Like the rest of His Messengers, Allah enabled Jesus to perform certain miracles to prove his veracity as described in the following verses; 48. And He (Allah) will teach him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] the Book and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless speech of the Prophets, wisdom, etc.), (and) the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel).49. And will make him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying); “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allah’s Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe. 50. And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Taurat (Torah), and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a proof from your Lord. So fear Allah and obey me.51. Truly! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (Alone). This is the Straight Path. (Surah Ale-Imran; 48-51)

What of earlier Scriptures? So because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places and have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of them. But forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds). Verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (Surah Al Maidah;13)  “Verily, We did send down the Taurat (Torah) [to Musa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah’s Will, judged the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged the Jews by the Taurat (Torah) after those Prophets] for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah’s Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the Kafirun (i.e. disbelievers – of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allah’s Laws ). (Surah Al-Maidah; 44) The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Taurat (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its legal laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey who carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them). How bad is the example (or the likeness) of people who deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah. And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers, etc.). (Surah Al-Jumu’ah 5) Do you (faithful believers) covet that they will believe in your religion inspite of the fact that a party of them (Jewish rabbis) used to hear the Word of Allah [the Taurat (Torah)], then they used to change it knowingly after they understood it? (Surah Al-Baqarah;  75).

What path should Muslims follow?  And this is the Path of your Lord (the Qur’an and Islam) leading Straight. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who take heed. (Surah al-An’am 126. ).

What Price A Great Nation? If the people of the scripture (Jews, Christians, and Muslims) believe and maintain a righteous life, we will remit their sins and admit them into the blissful Heaven. Had they observed the Torah, the Gospel, and what is revealed herein from their Lord, they would have enjoyed provisions from above them, and from beneath their feet. Some of them are righteous, but most of them are evil doers. [5;65-66] If only the people of the various communities believed and maintained a righteous life, we would have showered them with blessings from the heaven and the earth. [7;96]God is the One who controls your happiness, or misery….. God is the One who makes you rich or poor. [53;43, 48]A nation that upholds God’s laws is guaranteed prominence among the nations of the world, victory, prosperity, and happiness (10;62-64, 16;97, 24;55, 41;30-31). On the other hand, a nation that violates God’s laws incurs a miserable life (20;124). A nation that upholds God’s laws is guaranteed to be a great nation. This is not a mere idealistic dream; since God is in full control (10;61), His guarantees and promises are done. A nation that upholds God’s laws is characterized by;1. Maximum freedom for the people – freedom of religion, freedom of expression, freedom to travel, and freedom of economy (2;256, 10;99, 88;21-22).2. Guaranteed human rights for all the people, regardless of their race, color, creed, social status,FINANCIAL situation, or political affiliation (5;8, 49;13).3. Prosperity for all the people. God’s economic system is based on constant circulation of wealth, no usury, and productiveINVESTMENT . Non-productive economy such as gambling, lottery, and high interest loans are not permitted (2;275-7, 59;7).4. Social justice for all. Because of the obligatory charity (Zakat), no one will go hungry or un-sheltered (2;215, 70;24-25, 107;1-7).5. A political system that is based on unanimous consensus. Through mutual consultation and freedom of expression, one side of any given issue convinces all participants in the discussion. The end result is a unanimous agreement, not the opinion of a 51% majority rammed down the throat of the 49% minority (42;38).6. A society that upholds and maintains the highest standards of moral behavior. There will be a strong family, no alcoholism, no illicit drugs, no illegitimate pregnancies, no abortions, and practically no divorce.7. Maximum regard for people’s lives and properties. Therefore, there will be no crime against the people’s lives or properties.8. Prevalence of love, courtesy, peace, and mutual respect among the people, and between this nation and other world communities (3;110, 60;8-9).9. Environmental protection is guaranteed through conservation and prohibition of wasteful practices (30;41).

What Qur’an  says about  Homosexuality? 165. “Go you in unto the males of the ‘Alamin (mankind),166. “And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!” (Surah Ash-Shu’ara’ 165-166) 55. “Do you approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, but you are a people who behave senselessly.” (Surah An-Naml 55)28. And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people; “You commit Al-Fahishah (sodomy the worst sin) which none has preceded you in (committing) it in the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinns).”29. “Verily, you do sodomy with men, and rob the wayfarer (travellers, etc.)! And practise Al-Munkar (disbelief and polytheism and every kind of evil wicked deed) in your meetings.” But his people gave no answer except, that they said; “Bring Allah’s Torment upon us if you are one of the truthful.” (Surah Al-Ankabut (28-29)   above are some verses in the Qur’an that speak against homosexuality. Those people who make a god (ilah) of there own lusts are clearly in the wrong. Prophet Lut spoke against this evil practice of his people. Their only reply was; “Bring us the Wrath of God if thou tellest the truth.” They soon found out who was telling the truth when Allah destroyed them all. Let it be known right now that there is NO SUCH THING AS A GAY MUSLIM!!! A Muslim is one who submits himself to the will of Allah. Those who practice this evil have submitted themselves to their own desires and have turned their backs on the clear teachings of Islam. These people will use any kind of rationalization to justify their sinful practices. Be not deceived by the smooth tactics of Shaitan. He will try everything to guide us from the wrong way..

What Qur’an says about “mitochondrial Eve” theory? “O Mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam) and from Him (Adam) He created his wife (Eve), and from them both He created many men and women.” (Surah An-Nisaa; 1) The realization that all mtDNA lineages (Africa, Asia, and the Americas) can be traced back to a single origin is popularly called the “mitochondrial Eve” theory. (In human genetics, Mitochondrial Eve is the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA), in a direct, unbroken, maternal line, of all currently living humans, who is estimated to have lived approximately 100,000–200,000 years ago ) According to top scientists and cutting-edge research, everyone on the planet today can trace a specific part of his or her genetic heritage back to one woman through a unique part of our genetic makeup, the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). The mtDNA of “mitochondrial Eve” has been passed down through the centuries from mother to daughter (men are carriers, but don’t pass it on) and exists within all people living today. It is popularly known as the Eve theory because, as can be deduced from the above, it is passed down through the X chromosome. Scientists are also studying DNA from the Y chromosome (perhaps to be dubbed the “Adam theory”), which is passed only from father to son and is not recombined with the mother’s genes..

What Qur’an says about “The Movement of Mountains? Are mountains stable in one place? In one verse, we are informed that mountains are not motionless as they seem, but are in constant motion. “You will see the mountains you reckoned to be solid going past like clouds.” (Surah An-Naml ; 88) This motion of the mountains is caused by the movement of the Earth’s crust that they are located on. The Earth’s crust ‘floats’ over the mantle layer, which is denser. It was at the beginning of the 20th century when, for the first time in history, a German scientist by the name of Alfred Wegener proposed that the continents of the earth had been attached together when it first formed, but then drifted in different directions, and thus separated as they moved away from each other. Geologists understood that that Wegener was right only in the 1980s, 50 years after his death. As Wegener pointed out in an article published in 1915, the land masses on the earth were joined together about 500 million years ago. As Wegener pointed out in a 1915 article, the land masses of the earth were joined together some 500 million years ago, and this large mass, called Pangaea, was located in the South Pole. These continents that emerged after the split of Pangaea have been constantly moving on the Earth’s surface at several centimeters per year, in the meantime changing the sea and land ratios of the Earth. Discovered as a result of the geological research carried out at the beginning of the 20th century, this movement of the Earth’s crust is explained by scientists. There is a very important point to be stated here; God has referred to the motion of mountains as a drifting action in the verse. Today, modern scientists also use the term “Continental Drift” for this motion. Unquestionably, it is one of the miracles of the Qur’an that this scientific fact, which has recently been discovered by science, was announced in the Qur’an..

What Qur’an says about astronomy?   “The Qur’an repeatedly calls attention to the heavenly bodies as part of the miracles of Allah forced into the service of man.  And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves.  This led the Muslims to the study of astronomy and they in fact for centuries became its principal supporters.  Even now many Arabic names of stars and technical terms are in use.  Medieval astronomers in Europe were pupils of the Arabs.  In the same manner the Qur’an gave an impetus to medical studies and recommended the contemplation and study of Nature in general.”33. And He has made the sun and the moon, both constantly pursuing their courses, to be of service to you; and He has made the night and the day, to be of service to you. (Sura ibrahim  33) “It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. All (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course” (Surah Al-Anbiyaa;33).”It is not permitted for the sun to catch up to the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day. Each just swims along in its own orbit” (36;40).”He created the heavens and the earth in true proportions. He makes the night overlap the day, and the day overlap the night. He has subjected the sun and the moon to His law; each one follows a course for a time appointed…” (Surah Az-Zumar;5).”The sun and the moon follow courses exactly computed” (Surah Ar-Rahman;5). snv

What Qur’an says about breach of trust? 161. It is not for any Prophet to take illegally a part of booty (Ghulul), and whosoever deceives his companions as regards the booty, he shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took (illegally). Then every person shall be paid in full what he has earned, – and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.  (Surah Ale Imran 161) …29. O you who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves unjustly except it be a trade amongst you, by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you. 30. And whoever commits that through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for Allah.  (Surah an-Nisaa; 29-30) …27. O you who believe! Betray not Allah and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly your Amanat (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allah has ordained for you). (Surah Surah Al-Anfal; 27)..
